Saturday was the annual Mother & Daughter Girl Scout Tea.  This is a photo mat I was selling to display pictures that were taken at the tea.  I stepped away from my table to take a peek at what was going on in the main hall and I never made it back to my table!  I ended up helping the mother/daughter models with their outfits.  So if you were at the tea and are interested in purchasing one of these mats for only $5, please email me at kathy.winter@hotmail.com and let me know!  The mat is made to fit inside an 8 x 10 frame (not included.) A 5 x 7 photo will fit in the white area on the mat. I can even change the colors to match the clothing you were wearing.

I also made over 200 place cards for the tea.  CLICK HERE  to see what they looked like.

If you would like to support the Girl Scouts, please place a Stampin' Up! order with me by May 28 using the hostess code WFNWVYJU and I will donate my 20% sales commission to the Indian River Service Unit.  There are a lot of stamps, inks, fabric, paper crafting/scrap booking supplies and accessories to choose from.  Many are on sale up to 60% off.

Keeping Busy

This is one of the reasons why I had to take a break from blogging last month.  I was very busy working on these place cards for the annual Girl Scout Mother/Daughter tea.  Although this is the first time in 13 years that I am not leading a troop........I still wanted to donate my services for making the name cards.  When I first played with the dress up framelits from the Stampin' Up! spring catalog, I knew that they would be perfect for the tea - which also is a fashion show.

I made over 200 place cards.  The mothers will get a "tent" card but the card I made for each girl is a little box for the coupons they will receive from various businesses in the area.

If you would like to support the Girl Scouts, place an order with me by May 28 using the hostess code WFNWVYJU  and I will donate my 20% sales commission to the Indian River Service Unit (Chesapeake, VA)

CLICK HERE TO SHOP 24/7.  There are a lot of bargains on the clearance rack and on the list of retiring items.

Moving Forward

This was the SWAP card I made for a team meeting back in March.  I used the stamp set "Moving Forward".  It will only be available through the end of the month, before it retires.  A portion of the sale price of this set is donated to Ronald McDonald Charities.  The words on this card are from the Petite Pairs stamp set.

I'm Back!

Here I am on Mother's Day with my two children: Emily & Ben and the gifts they gave me: Hershey's Chocolate (the BEST), a chalkboard piggy bank to match all the black accessories in my craft room, and a four pack of Twisted Sister Cupcakes, which we sampled along with the judges while watching Cupcake Wars last night.  We were rooting for the sisters......but they were sent packing after the second round.

This week I had several people ask me when I was going to post to my blog again.  It made me smile to know that people were actually going to my blog to look for directions to projects we made in stamp club, or just checking to see what was new.

There are many reasons why I took a break from blogging - the main reason is my mother's sudden passing on April 5th.  We had to make a quick trip to Pennsylvania for her funeral, and I took an entire week off from work.  It was an extremely emotional time but the one thing that helped me through  was stamping.  I had my club meetings in April as scheduled and it was good to be with friends and have fun and even laugh.

There are several other reasons why I took a break from blogging, and I will share them with you in later posts.  Thank you to everyone who asked about my blog!  I hope you will enjoy all the things I have to show you over the next several weeks.  The new catalog is getting ready to launch at the end of the month - so there will be lots of new stamp sets, new colors, and new products to show you.  I also have a new class coming up in June, and something special planned to celebrate my birthday in July!

Below are a few of the "handcrafted" cards that I received from friends.  Although I cried as I opened each card, it also made me smile to receive them, because they are from ladies who have become good friends because of stamping.

This is the first card I received, from Connie.  She works at the same preschool as me and she is also one of my down line.

The card below is from another one of my down line, Linda.
