March Stamp Club Card 2

This is the second card we made at my stamp club classes in March.  I CASED this card from Pinterest (Laura Mellinger.)  I loved the design so much that all I changed was the ribbon, only because I didn't have the ribbon she used.  The card stock colors are Crisp Cantaloupe and Very Vanilla.  The flower was stamped with Crisp Cantaloupe and Blushing Bride.

I always encourage my club members to be creative and change the card if they have another ideas.  Below is how one club member changed the design.  I think it is another beautiful card.

March Club Card 1

This is the first card we made at my stamp club meetings in March.  I was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest (Allison Okamitsu.)  This is such a beautiful card in real life and it is super easy to make - if you can get your hands on a Butterfly Thinlits Die!  This set of dies has been so popular that Stampin' Up! sold out.  But the good news is more of these dies have been shipped and they should be available to order in the near future.

We used Stampin' Up!'s  Butterfly Basics stamp set to stamp the images on the card.  Ink colors used were Basic Gray, Mossy Meadow, and Blackberry Bliss.  Cardstock colors are Blackberry Bliss and Sahara Sand.

PLEASE CONTACT ME if you would like more information.

March Stamp Club 3D Project

This cute little box was the first project we made at my March stamp club classes.  We started by making a Curvy Keepsake Box using the thinlit die from Stampin' Up!  It's hard to see in the photo, but we stamped a small flower image on the box using Versamark.  Finally, we added a Butterfly to the top using the Butterfly Thinlit Dies from Stampin' Up! This thinlit set is currently unavailable to order - they were so wildly popular that they sold out!  But the good news is that a current shipment is on the way and they should be available to purchase again soon!!

CONTACT ME if you would like more information about my stamp club.  I would love to have you join the fun!  I keep adding additional days/times  - or I can do a private class for you and your friends.

Countdown to Christmas - 9 months

My plan has been to make a few Christmas cards each month so that I won't be stressed making cards at the last minute.  Somehow this month just flew by and here it is the 25th already.  I haven't made any Christmas cards this month, so I will show you some that my friend, Lyn, made using the FESTIVAL OF TREES stamp set from Stampin' Up!  Last Christmas, she made a bunch of cards in a short amount of time, and was nice enough to give me samples of the different cards she made.

Lyn does such nice work, and she always stamps the envelope and the inside of her card.  The card below does not have the envelope, because this is the one she actually mailed to me and I guess I tossed it away.

I think I will be pulling out this stamp set soon to make some cards to add the the ones I made in FEBRUARY and JANUARY.

If you would like to get started on your Christmas Cards, please CONTACT ME and I would love to help you,

One More Gift Tag and Bag

Here is one last gift bag I made for the baby shower I recently attended.  I teach preschool at my church and it is our pastor's wife who is having a baby.  I wanted to give a gift of books from my class, and since my classroom is decorated in an owl theme, I knew I had tp make an owl gift bag.  I saw the idea on Pinterest, of course! (Kay Kalthoff)  I had all the kids sign the back of the bag and then I made another punch art owl as a tag to let the pastor and his wife know the gift was from my class.

Below is a photo of the back of the bag and a close up of the tag.

Making it Match

Since THIS BABY SHOWER CARD did not match the wrapping paper for the gift, I decided to make a tag that did match.  I made an envelope using the Envelope Punch Board.  I took some of the wrapping paper and matching card stock and wrapped it around the envelope.  Then  I used lots of Stampin' Up! punches to make a fox and an owl that looked similar to the animals on the gift wrap.  I tucked the card into the envelope and tied it onto the package.  You can see how I tucked the card into the envelope here:
I wish I had taken a photo of the entire package with the tag attached.  It looked so cute!  I also made a punch art hedgehog to go on a tag for a tote of books we also gave to the baby.
Since I had a lot of wrapping paper left over, I think I will be making these cute punch animals again!

Something for Baby

Today I will be attending a baby shower and this is the card that I made.  There were 12 of us that went together on a gift, so when I saw this card on Pinterest (Brianna Thompson), I new it would be perfect for allowing everyone to write a personal note on the back.  Below is the back of the card (before everyone had a chance to sign it.)

PLEASE CONTACT ME if you would like more information about making this card.

Gather a few of your friends together for a private class and let me show you how to make this and other cards for FREE, with a minimum Stampin' Up! order.

Homework!

When I have my monthly stamp club classes, I will often give my attendees homework.  This is one way to keep them stamping in between our meetings.  CLICK HERE TO SEE JANUARY'S ASSIGNMENT.  Below are photos of the homework that was completed and brought to our February  meetings.

Just a quick note about #2.  She cut 12 sheets of Designer Series Paper to fit inside the protector and plans to change out the paper each month.

Please vote for your favorite by leaving a comment.  I will have a special prize for the project that gets the most votes.  I will also have a little surprise for everyone who turned in their assignment, at our March meetings!

Big Day Stamp Club Cards

Here are more cards that we made at last month's stamp club classes.  I CASED (Copy And Share Everything) this card from Pinterest.  There are several versions of this card floating around the internet.  I made a few changes to a card made by Helen Heil.  Below is another card I made - just changed the colors and turned the card horizontally.

 A few things to note:

The confetti was made using the Confetti Stars Border Punch.  I punched card stock scraps until I had as much as I wanted.

I adhered a piece of window sheet over the confetti.  You will want to make sure that the window sheet is adhered securely to the card front.  (Use liquid Tombow, Fast Fuse, or Sticky Strip.)

Washi tape was layered around the window sheet - half on the window sheet and half on the card front.  Rub the washi tape to make sure it stays down.  (You may even want to run a fine line of adhesive under the washi tape so it doesn't pull up.)

I used the Sale-a-Bration stamp set, Big Day, to make this card.  This is a set you can get for FREE, with a $50 order!  I stamped the "Celebrate your Big Day with Cake" once on a piece of Whisper White card stock (cut out using circle framelit) and one time on a scrap of coordinating card stock.  You only need the word "celebrate' on the colored scrap, and then it is cut out using Paper Snips.  Layer the colored card stock "celebrate" over the original stamped image using Stampin' Dimensionals.

The letters in Birthday and Cake were colored with Stampin' Write markers.

Then I just made a tag using the Happy Birthday stamped piece.

This was a fun card to make and a good way to use some of the washi tape I have been collecting!

Painted Petals - Stamp Club Cards

We made these cards at my February stamp club meetings using the Painted Petals stamp set from Stampin' Up!'s Occasions catalog.  Items in this catalog are available through June 2, 2015.  We used the photopolymer version of this set, which I think makes it the easiest to line up the flowers and stems for a perfect image.  Watch THIS YOU TUBE VIDEO to see how to easily line up the stamps.

Stampin' Up! Supplies used to make this card:
Stamp Set: Painted Petals
Card stock, Ink, Ribbon colors: Wild Wasabi, Blushing Bride, Whisper White
Accessories: Spring Flowers Textured Impressions Embossing Folder
