March 3D project

This butterfly, made with Hershey kisses, was the "3D" project my stamp club members made at our March meeting! If I want a cute candy project, I just visit Brenda Quintana's blog.  She has lots of tutorials for making just about anything with Hershey's Kisses.  They are fairly easy to make with just Designer Series Paper and card stock!

Flowering Fields

These are note cards made using the Flowering Fields stamp set and Wildflower Fields Designer Series Paper.  Both are Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration items.  My stamp club members used these cards as inspiration to make a bonus card at my March classes.  I wanted to use as many Sale-a-bration items at my March classes, because March 31 is the last day these items will be available. You may select one item for each $50 order.

Take a closer look at each card below:

Honeycomb Happiness

These cards were made using the Honeycomb Happiness stamp set from Stampin' Up!  It is a Sale-a-bration item, which means you can't buy this stamp set.  You can only get it for FREE, with a $50 order - but only through March 31.    My stamp club members made one of these cards at our March meetings.  Everyone agreed - they were quick and easy to make.

March Stamp Club Projects

These are the projects we made at my March stamp club classes. Stampers made 3 cards and a Hershey's Kisses Butterfly.  I like my stampers to be happy with their projects, so I give them a choice of projects to make.   We usually make 2 cards and 1 "3D" item - but this month we made a bonus third card.  That's mainly because I wanted to use all the Sale-a-Bration sets that I haven't had a chance to ink up!  These special sets are only available through March 31 and then they will be gone!  You can only get these sets for FREE, with each $50 order.

Check back to see the projects in detail.

Happy Easter!

This is one of the cards we made at my March Stamp Club classes.  I CASED (Copy and Share Everything) this card from another Stampin' Up demonstrator, Brandy Cox.  I wanted to use as many Sale-a-bration stamp sets as I could to make my cards this month, since they will no longer be available after March 31.

The yellow background on the card and the chick itself are stamped with a flower from the Sale-a-Bration set, "What I Love."  What a fun technique.  The chick is from the "Honeycomb Happiness" stamp set.

CONTACT ME if you have any questions about how I made this card.

Countdown to Christmas - 9 months

For the past few years I have been posting Christmas cards on the 25th of each month.  My hope is that you will use them for inspiration to make a few Christmas cards throughout the year, so that when December comes - you (and I) will have a nice stack of handcrafted cards to send out to your friends and family.

Below are some swaps from a Stampin' Up! event I attended last fall.  Some of the stamp sets and Designer Series Paper used on these cards have retired - but I'm sure you could substitute stamps and DSP that you might have.

CONTACT ME if you would like more information about these cards.

Club Card 3

This is the third "bonus" card we made at my February stamp club classes.  We usually make 2 cards and a 3D item.  But February's cards were fairly quick and easy - so I added a third card.  This card using the Stampin' Up stamp set, Botanicals for You.  You can not buy this set - you can only get it for FREE, with a $50 purchase (through March 31.)

Club Card 2 - In Colors Collection

This is the second card we made at my February stamp club classes.  This is another easy card to make - but it is also so beautiful.  We cut out the rose using the Rose Garden Thinlits Dies.  It was so easy getting all those small pieces out when we used the new BIG SHOT DIES BRUSH:

Big Shot Die Brush by Stampin' Up!

Edited to add a video tutorial - see it here:

Here are more cards made using Stampin' Up!'s  2014-2016 In Color Collection.  These colors will be retiring in May.  I am encouraging my customers to stock up on the card stock, ink pads, and especially the ink refills - before they sell out!  Once they are gone - they are gone for good!    Blackberry Bliss and Lost Lagoon and the two colors I will really miss from this collection.  All of the greetings on these cards are from the Rose Wonder stamp set.  All products used to make these cards are from Stampin' Up!

Club Card #1

This was the first card we made at my February stamp club classes.  It uses the stamp set, "What I Love," from Stampin' Up!  You can only get this stamp set for FREE, with a $50 purchase (through March 31st.)  This is a Three Step stamp.  The flower is stamped in layers which makes for a really pretty image.  We used Wisteria Wonder ink for the first two layers, then finished off with Elegant Eggplant.  Beautiful and really easy, too.  That's the best kind of card to make!

February Stamp Club Projects

These are the projects we made at my February stamp club classes.  We made 3 cards this month - since they were all fairly easy to make.  The box was also very easy to make.  Below is close up of the box, and a photo of the box open - with the cards inside.

Friday night's class made the card below as an alternate third card:

This uses a cool rubber band technique.  One of my Friday club members is a new team member - so it was her job to teach the rest of the ladies how to make this card.

More Homework

I gave my club members this sketch to use as inspiration for making a card for their January homework assignment.  I like to give homework to my club members to keep them stamping in between our club meetings, and to also to get them to use the products that they purchase from me.

Below are the homework cards that were brought to February's club classes:

I was so glad to see so many stampers complete the homework assignment.  And for the first time in a LONG time, I did the homework myself.  Here is the card I made:

Special Homework Assignment

This is the 3D project we made at my January Stamp Club classes.  I got the idea for this cute box from Julie Davison.  It was quick and easy to make and I asked my club members to fill the box they made, give it to someone, and then send me the picture.  Only two of my club members did that - and below are the photos that earned them a special gift at our February club meeting!

Kathy's husband & Lisa's son

Look at those smiles!  Of course we have a lot of fun at our monthly classes - but it is also fun to know that the projects we make are blessing others!
