July Stamp Club Projects

These are the projects we made at my July stamp club classes.  I couldn't decide whether to continue my birthday celebration or to celebrate Christmas is July.  So I did a little bit of both.  We made shaker cards, and some cute cards featuring Stampin' Up!'s fabulous Designer Series Paper.  Everyone loved learning how to make those puffy balloons that pop off the card!  And, as always, we made 3D item - this time a little candy treat!

Stop back to see these projects up close and to learn some tricks for making them!

Rainbow Ribbon Display

This summer I have been working on organizing my craft room.  One project I completed was putting my Stampin' Up! ribbon in rainbow order.
I used to organize my ribbon by the style of ribbon, until one day after a stamp class I found a roll of ribbon in the wrong place.  Instead of being with the other 1/8" ribbon, it was next to a roll of ribbon that was the same color.  That's when I had a light bulb moment!  It would be easier for my customers to find the ribbon they wanted if it was organized by color. I'm not sure I'm happy with the bags of hanging twine; I might need to figure out a special place to organize them.  But for now it will have to do.

Candy Treat

This is a little candy treat that we made at a recent stamp club meeting.  It is super simple to make - and who doesn't love a little chocolate?!   At my stamp club classes we usually make two cards and one "3D" item (like this little treat.)

CONTACT ME if you would like directions for making this treat or if you would like more information about my stamp club classes.

Playful Palette

O
All of these cards were made using prints from the Playful Palette Designer Series Paper Stack from Stampin' Up!  The card bases are made using three of the new 2016-2018 In Colors - Sweet Sugar Plum, Peekaboo Peach, and Emerald Envy.  One of the best things about Stampin' Up!'s products is the Coordination.  The card stock, designer series paper, ink, ribbon, etc....all match perfectly!

I used the stamp set from the Watercolor Wishes card kit to stamp the words on these cards.  Love that kit!  You get to make 20 cute cards, and when you are finished you have an awesome stamp set to use for making other projects.

It's that time of the month!  Time to say "yes" to Paper Pumpkin.  This is a "sneak peek" of the stamp set that will be in the August Paper Pumpkin kit.  AND we know that the kit will be cards!  Usually when these kits arrive in your mail box they will be a surprise!  But this month, Stampin' Up! decided to share the stamp set you will receive.  You must say "yes" by August 10th or you will miss out!

Birthday Card Prize and Winner!

My last two blog posts featured the beautiful cards that I received for my birthday last month.  I numbered the cards from 1 to 10 and used random.org to pick the winner of the YUMMY prize pictured below.
It is a birthday cake mix that you can make in a mug in the microwave in about a minute!  Below is a picture of the gift wrapped with some Stampin' Up! ribbon and ready to present to the winner!

The winning card was number 5 and the winner's card is pictured below!
This may seem "fixed" but I guarantee that the winner was chosen totally at random.  This card was made by my sister, Donna, who is also one of my team members.  She lives in Pennsylvania  (and I live in Virginia.)  It just so happens that I will be visiting her August 4 - 8 and helping her with an all day stamping event she is hosting on Saturday, August 6.  So I will get to deliver this to her in person!  And hopefully, I will have lots of pictures to share with you about the event when I get back!

CLICK HERE if  you have questions about any of the cards that I received, or if you would like information about my stamp club classes.

It sure was fun to receive each one of these beautiful, hand made birthday cards  - as well as the other cards that came from a store!  It's just fun getting snail mail that's not a bill or junk.

If you would like to receive a hand made birthday card for YOUR birthday, just EMAIL ME with you birthday and address.
