Missing in Action!

My stamping business was temporarily interrupted by the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics!   The photo above shows that I WAS stamping - but I was mostly working on past Paper Pumpkin kits while watching the Olympics.  I have a Paper Pumpkin subscription - and I love the projects inside (especially the EXCLUSIVE stamp set and stamping spot.)  But I always wait to see what alternate projects other people come up with - and then I never seem to actually make the kit!  I am going to TRY to keep up with the kits this year, as well as complete past kits that have been piling up.

I started with making the Christmas Card kits - trying to build up my stash so I can be one of those people who send cards out right after Thanksgiving - instead of waiting until the last minute - like I usually do!  Below are some of the kits that I put together - sometimes making them following the directions and sometimes changing them up a bit.

Below are some cards that I made with extra supplies I had lying around.

All together I have made over 50 Christmas cards!  And I still have 10 months until Christmas to make a bunch more!

If you would like more information about the Paper Pumpkin subscription kits CLICK HERE.

If you would like to get started on making YOUR Christmas cards - I would be happy to cut all the card stock and designer paper pieces - all you would need to do is stamp and assemble.  Just EMAIL ME to set up an appointment for a free consultation.

Awesome Otters - video tutorial

I asked my Facebook Followers for their help in making a card.  I asked them to choose between card stock colors, ink colors, embellishments, and where to place the greeting.  In this video I make the card using the winning choices.  This is an easy card for you to make!

Below is the card that I made using their suggestions (on the left) and the one that I originally made (on the right.)

They chose Bermuda Bay card stock, Crumb Cake blends to color the otter, and the greeting at the top.  It was a tie between the Sea Glass and Pebbles embellishments - so I used the Sea Glass to make it different from my original card.  I liked the color of the Cinnamon Cider otter on my card - but the Crumb Cake Blends won by a landslide in the voting!  I put my greeting at the bottom - but I stamped it crooked!  So I stamped the greeting on a circle and placed it over my mistake.

Card Measurements:

·         Bermuda Bay card base 5 ½ x 8 ½. score at 4 ¼

·         Basic White layer 3-7/8 x 5-1/8

·         Bermuda Bay ink; add to white layer using Blending Brush

·         Otter image is fussy cut from a Thick Basic White scrap and adhered to card front
