Saturday Sketch #22

Here is this week's Saturday Sketch card.  I have mentioned before that when I get new supplies - I will often use card sketches to help me design cards (since there are not a lot of ideas on Pinterest yet for inspiration.)  I used a new Online Exclusive pack of paper called, Autumn Opulence, to make this card. This pack has 5 double-side designs plus two DIE CUT SHEETS - perfect for accents on cards - or for scrapbook layouts!

When I first saw this sketch, I thought "THAT'S A LOT OF LAYERS!"  I used the sketch as a guide and changed the size of the pieces - but still retained the overall design.  And I LOVE how my card turned out!

Measurements for making this card (inches):

• Thick Very Vanilla card base: 5-1/2 x 8-1/2; scored at 4-1/4
• Cajun Craze patterned paper piece: 3-3/4 x 3-3/4
• Blackberry Bliss card stock layer: 2-1/2  x 5 (Embossed using Softly Woven 3D folder)
• Lost Lagoon mat 2-3/4 x 3-1/2
• Floral DSP layer: 2-1/2 x 3-1/4
• Plaid DSP strip: 4 x 3/4
• Very Vanilla scrap for stamped greeting, then punched using Three Banner Punch
