Countdown to Christmas - 8 months!

I'm trying to make a few Christmas cards each month, so that when the holiday season arrives I will be able to mail my cards early and enjoy a stress free December.  This card was made using the Mosaic Madness stamp set and coordinating punch from Stampin' Up! Both are items on the Retiring List - so get them while you can.  Both are discounted, along with lots of other retiring items.

Below are cards we made at my stamp club classes this weekend, also using the Mosaic Madness stamp set and punch.

The colors are Soft Suede and So Saffron. The greetings on these cards are from another retiring stamp set, Four You.  Below is another version that one of my club members,Anna, made.

Stamp Club Homework

If you attend my stamp club classes, you know that I like to give homework - to keep everyone stamping in between our monthly meetings.  Anyone who accepted the challenge at my February meetings, was given the following pieces to make a card:

These are pieces that came in one of the make & takes from the Stampin' Up! convention a few years ago.  This is the card Stampin' Up! designed using the pieces:

Below are the cards my club members made with the same pieces (plus any other supplies they wanted to use.)  I was blown away with the results.  Take a look at the cards below - and then please leave a comment by April 20 to vote for your favorite.

#1 is an easel card, show propped open using brads.

Below is card 2. I'm sorry, but I could not get the number 2 to show up on the photo.

Card #6 was made by a BRAND NEW STAMPER.  She never even heard of Stampin' Up! until she came to my February class!  So I am extremely impressed with her card!
Card #7 is a gate fold card - which opens in the center (like card #4 - I just didn't get a good photo with the card open.)  The flower and "Happy Easter" are only attached to one side of the card.

Aren't these cards FABULOUS?!!!!  Did you see all the pieces used in each of the cards.  No?!  That's because some stampers did NOT use all of the pieces.  It was kind of comical to hear the excuses about the missing parts!!  The teacher in me wants to exclude those cards from the contest..........but I just couldn't do that because of how much work these ladies put into their projects!  (Although, I did not accept any late homework - right, Kathy?!)  Stampers - if you don't see your card here - please let me know!

Again, please take a moment to leave a comment and vote for your favorite!

Happy Easter!

These are the Easter Bunny baskets we made with my Pre-K kids using the Berry Basket Big Die from Stampin' Up!  We used the Bow Builder Punch to make bow ties for the boys and hair bows for the girls.  Aren't they adorable?!
Below are ceramic crosses the children also made - to remind them of the true meaning of Easter.  The images and words were stamped on the cross using Stazon Ink, and then colored using permanent (Sharpie) markers.  They did a pretty good job!
Easter Blessings to you and your family!
Stop by  tomorrow for details about FREE SHIPPING - April 6 -10.

Yes, it is April 1 - but this is No Joke!

I have a great group of stampers who meet with me each month to make at least 2 cards and one 3D project.  Below are photos of the projects we made in recent months.

I have been giving tickets to the ladies who attend my classes, place their order at the meeting, and who have enough adhesive to finish their projects.  My plan was to choose one winner each month to win a special Star Stamper prize,  Well, I did it a few times - but definitely did not do it every month.  So to make up for it, I picked 12 tickets and the winners will get their choice of the following gifts.  (I have 15 gifts listed, so that everyone will get a choice - learned that trick from teaching 3 &4 year olds!)

1. Card Box with dividers and a template for covering it with Designer Series Paper (won by Patti )

2. oval embossing folder    3. leaves embossing folder   4. dots embossing folder(won by Patti)

 5. silver ribbon  6. Daffodil Delight ribbon  (won by Kelly)  7.  Melon Mambo ribbon (won by Nancy F.)

8. Retired stamping wheels (flowers), handle, and uninked cartridge

9. 1/8" handheld circle punch (won by Lyn)

 10.  subtles cardstock (some retired colors)  (won by Anna)
 11. Retired Purely Pomegranate cardstock, ink pad, and ink refill  (won by Anna)

12  Essentials Paper Piercing templates (won by Karen)

 13.  Simply Sent card kit (won by Anna)
 14. hearts and stars decorative masks (won by Nancy M.)

 15.  These are guides for your clear blocks so you can line up your stamps straight!

If you see your name below  - you MUST comment on this blog post telling me which prize you want.  If  your name appears more than once - you may choose that many prizes!!!!

The first to reply will get first pick.  If you sign in as Anonymous, make sure you leave your name at the end of your comment.

All comments must be left by April 15 - so I can have them ready for you to pick up at our April club meetings.

I am always looking for new stampers to attend my stamp club classes.  There is no obligation to buy - you can attend the class for a $7 materials fee.  You do not need to attend every class - but you can earn FREE Stampin' Up! merchandise when you place an order 5 out of 6 consecutive months (minimum $150 total.)

PLEASE CONTACT ME  if you have any questions or would like more info about my club classes.
