1 Week Until Christmas

Saturday Sketch

Here's a card that I made using a sketch from a demonstrator training group I'm in. I wasn't sure about this sketch at first...but I pulled out the Traditions of Christmas Designer Series Paper - and alternated a dark blue pattern with two of the other, bolder patterns. I think it turned out great! I embossed the center white piece. The "JOY" is from a retired ephemera pack - but there is a similar one in the Greetings for You Mix & Match ephemera pack.

The DSP and ephemera pack have been super popular - but both are currently back in stock, DISCOUNTED, and on the LAST CHANCE LIST. So get them while you can - before they are gone forever. It might be too late for this year's holiday projects - but stock up and get an early start for next year!

Below is the sketch that I used to make my card. I didn't really measure the layers - but cut them down to get the look that I liked - to show off the designer paper patterns.

Saturday Sketch

Here's another card I made using the North Pole Delivery 12 x 12 Specialty Paper from Stampin' Up! This paper has just been added to the Last Chance list - at a discounted price - so be sure to grab a pack before it is gone forever!

This paper is so ADORABLE in real life. It coordinates with North Pole Deliver Suite - but you can make cute cards and scrapbook pages by just jusing the DSP and some additional card stock.

The pack of paper includes 2 each of 5 double-sided designs, and 1 each of 2 single-sided die cut sheets. SUPER CUTE! Grab a pack to make cards for next year - or grab it to make some cute scrapbook layouts!

Below is the sketch that I used to make my card.

Measurements for making this card (in inches):

Basic White thick card base: 8-1/2 x 5-1/2; scored at 4-1/4
Blue dotted DSP piece: 4 x 5-1/4
DSP strips (2 of them): 3/4 x 6 (notch the edges)
Poppy Parade card stock piece: 2 x 4-1/2
"Shops" DSP piece: 3 x 4-1/4
Poppy Parade Stylish Shape die cut circle (approx 1-3/4)
Basic White circle for sentiment (1-1/2" punch)
