Graduation

This is the card that I made for Emily' graduation. (Sorry for the shadows in the photo.)  It was very easy to make.  I made several of these for other 2012 graduates, but I forgot to take a photo before I put them in the mail.  Each one was a little different, depending on the school's colors.

This is the inside of the card.  The top stamp is from the stamp set "Word Play."
The "congratulations" stamp is from a retired set.

And this is Emily with her VERY PROUD parents.  She graduated with honors from the rigorous International Baccalaureate Program and will be heading off to James Madison University in the fall.

Happy Birthday, Emily!

Mr. Brown delivered a box of Stampin' Up! goodies today - all sneak peek items from the new catalog.  I decided to make Emily a quick card, since it is her birthday today.  I used all the new In Colors.  There has been a lot of chatter among demonstrators about this new yellow color (Summer Starfruit.)  You will have to judge for yourself whether you like it or not when you see it in person.  I do like the other colors: Primrose Petals (rose color card stock strip), Gumball Green (green punched background label), Midnight Muse and Raspberry Ripple (ink colors used for two of the gifts.)

You will absolutely LOVE the new firm foam ink pads.  No more pounding the rubber stamp into the ink pad to get it inked up.  Just two taps on the new pad is enough to produce a clean stamped image.  Something you will have to try for yourself!

I am going to try and schedule my annual "Get the Scoop" event for early June.  Stay tuned for more information.

You only have two weeks to order your retiring stamp sets and accessories.  Shop 24/7 on my website or Contact me to place your order for you.

Bye Bye Butterfly

These are the thank you cards (with coordinating envelopes) I made for anyone who placed an order with me in April.  I used the butterfly punch, which is retiring from the Stampin' Up! catalog.  It will only be available through the end of the month, or while supplies last.

This card (and the one below) was made by Leighanna at our club meeting last night.  The pansy is also made using the butterfly punch.  I need more practice at this technique - Leighanna's flowers turned out so much better than mine!  The eyelet border punch, which was used on the bottom edge of the card will also be retiring at the end of May, as well as the Oval All stamp set used for the greeting on this card.  The little green leaves were made using the 5 petal flower punch, which is also retiring.

It is sad to see so many of my favorite stamp sets and accessories retiring .........but there will be a lot of great new products in the 2012-2013 catalog, available June 1.

Please view the list of retiring stamp sets and accessories HERE

All retiring stamp sets will be available through May 31.  Retiring accessories are only available WHILE SUPPLIES LAST.....and many are already GONE!

Time to Retire

Stampin' Up has posted the items that will be retiring from the 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalog.  All retiring Stamp Sets will be available through May 31st.  The retiring accessories and Decor Elements are available "while supplies last" through May 31.

When you look at the retired accessories list, you will notice that all of our Stampin' Pads are listed.  This is because we are introducing a new Firm Foam Pad in our Classic Stampin' Pads beginning with the 2012-2013 annual catalog.  The Firm Foam pads offer better ink coverage and, in turn, better stamped images.

In addition, please note the following about the new catalog:

Only select Stampin' Write Markers will be available individually.  (The markers will continue to be offered in color collections.)

12x12 Textured Card Stock will no longer be  offered.

12x12 Smooth Card Stock will only be available in select individual colors, and in color collections.

Tea Time

This is one of the 100+ place cards I made for the adults who attended today's Girl Scout tea and fashion show.  It is just a 3x5 piece of Designer Series Paper folded in half, with coordinating card stock trim and handles.

This is one of the 100+ place cards I made for the girls at today's tea.  They are actually little purses that open up.  They are made using a 6x6 piece of DSP and coordinating card stock.  They are really easy to make and I think they turned out cute.

This photo shows the inside of the purse, which was filled with coupons and a patch for each of the Girls Scouts in attendance.

My club members made these purses at this month's club meetings.  A gift card fits inside perfectly!  If you would like to learn how to make these and other fun projects, contact me now at kathy.winter@hotmail.com
