Congrats Grad - part 2

Here are two of the graduation cards I made this year. They were inspired by Pinterest, but I tweaked them a bit.  I wanted to include a gift card or check (we debated about whether the HS grads would even know what to do with a check!)

I made them the colors of the graduation announcement that we received.  For the first one, I used a quarter sheet (4 1/4 x 5 1/2) of Real Red card stock and glued a thick whisper white card (cut a little narrower) to the red card stock. The letters were cut using the Large Letters framelits and the "congrats" was cut from the SUNSHINE WISHES THINLITS DIES.  The balloons were punched from silver foil paper and red glimmer paper.

I used a retired greeting inside, and made an area where I could tuck in a check.

For the purple and gold card I used a half sheet of the new Gorgeous Grape cardstock, and cut the white piece to leave a 1/8 inch border.  Although I usually add embellishments in "threes", I thought the 2 balloons off to the right looked better.
This time I put the check on the top inside of the card, and added a graduation hat from a retired set.

Congrats Grad

I had three graduation cards to make this year - and this is what I came up with - thanks to some inspiration from Pinterest.

The first one was for a graduate from the Virginia Military Institute.
This card was made using the VMI colors, the large number thinlits, and retired stamp sets.  Sadly, the large number thinlits just retired in May.

Speaking of retired.....I will have lots of retired Stampin' Up! products for sale at my Catalog Kick Off event on Saturday June 16th.  I want to introduce you to Stampin' Up!'s new colors.  They did a complete "refresh" with the new catalog.  Although I will miss some of the colors that retired - there are many new colors that I love.  AND some of my past favorite In Colors have come back as part of the Core Collection.

Please visit  MY WEBSITE for more information about my catalog kick off event.

Check back on Monday for details about the other graduation cards.

If you choose to place a minimum $30 order BEFORE June 16th using the hostess code: FX6CAQGS you may attend the catalog launch for FREE!

If you are out of the area, I will send you the completed projects we make at the event, with a minimum $30 catalog order placed before June 16th.

Paper Pumpkin Time

Paper Pumpkin is a fun way to get started with stamping.  A fun kit shows up in your mailbox -  and only the months you want it to.  It is like celebrating Christmas or your birthday every month because the gift inside is always a surprise.  You will get a clear block in your first kit, that you will use to complete future kits.  Each kit also contains a stamp set, ink spot, printed directions with photos, and all the supplies needed to make the projects.  Most kits include cards - but some kits will be other items such as home decor items, holiday decorations, or a mini scrapbook.

You can see past kits by visiting the Paper Pumpkin You Tube Channel.

The projects in the photo above were in the April  2018 kit. The kit made 4 sets of five 3x3 cards and a sturdy box to keep them in. This is probably one of my favorite kits of all time and my customers loved it as well.  The refills for this kit sold out in less than a day - but I was able to snatch up TWO.

So if you would like to gather a group of your friends to make a set of these cards- please CONTACT ME.

If you would like more information about Paper Pumpkin CLICK HERE.

Or  CLICK HERE to order a trial prepaid subscription. Be sure to name me  as your Stampin'Up!  demonstrator so I can send you a FREE GIFT - exclusively from me!

You free gift from me includes  a clear envelope for storing your Paper Pumpkin stamp set.  Fold the directions (included in your kit)  and trim them slightly to fit into the envelope.  Your free gift will also include a quarter sheet of card stock the same color as the ink spot that comes in the kit.  I will also include a copy of the stamp set images - so you can easily return the stamp set to the correct envelope.  At the end of the calendar year, I will also send you a photo index of all the stamp sets that were in the kits for that year.

I will be starting a "FIRST FRIDAY" class - for all local Paper Pumpkin subscribers.  The class will be free for current subscribers and other stampers may come and make at least 4 projects from past kits.for a $10 fee.

Thanks

These are some of the thank you notes I made to give to the parents who did so much for Teacher Appreciation Week at the preschool where I teach.  They gave us a pizza lunch, snacks, breakfast, more snacks, doughnuts, a gift box full of our favorite things, and take home boxes for the cookies and brownies that were sent in on Friday. We really felt the love and I wanted to make sure that they knew we appreciated them!  These cards are made with new products from the NEW Stampin' Up! annual catalog. This Designer Series Paper is fabulous - extra thick and sturdy enough to use as a card base.  This is one of the cards you can make at my Catalog Kickoff event on Saturday June 16.  CLICK HERE for more information and to RSVP.

One of the moms, who just happens to be one of my Paper Pumpkin subscribers, decorated every teacher's classroom door. What a fun surprise that was!  Below is my door:
I wished I had taken photos of the other doors - they were all different and some were out of this world (literally!)  Our last day of school was on June 1, and I left my door looking like this.  I wasn't going to take it down!  And would you believe only one pack of Smarties was taken (and later found - unopened.)
