Today was “Join Hands Day” at my church. Several other churches in the area joined us to make 400 all occasion cards to send to military personnel overseas. The soldiers/ sailors will use them to send greetings back home to their friends and families. I was responsible for designing the cards, ordering the supplies (from Stampin’ Up of course!) and prepping 400 cards. I also taught several non-stampers how to make the cards. There were about 20 people there……..so if you do the math, you know they cranked out some cards in just a few hours! These are some of the cards that I prepped for the event. It was a lot of fun and we have over 50 packs of cards to send to the troops.

True Blue Friend & Happy Birthday Donna!
Today is my big sister’s birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY DONNA!!!! She is a “virtual” member of my stamping club, since it is a little difficult for her to join us at meetings, since she lives in Pennsylvania and I live in Virginia! I guess I should have posted the card I sent her……..but instead I am posting the card that I made for my stamp club members this month. Most of them have been part of my stamp club for a year now, and I wanted to let them know how much their friendship means to me. June will be the last meeting for this club, but I am hoping they will all want to keep on stamping with me. I have so many ideas and techniques that I still want to share with them.

Photo Wallet
I thought this photo wallet would be a great project for upcoming Girl Scout Bridging Ceremonies. For those of you that don’t know………a Bridging ceremony is when the girls move from one level of Girl Scouting to the next. I made this one as a sample, using photos from several years ago, when my troop bridged from Juniors to Cadettes at the Virginia Beach Ocean Front. It was really special, since the girls planned the entire event themselves. I still need to add some journaling or more photos. Thanks for looking!

Camp Journal
This is a camp journal/scrapbook I made using paper lunch bags. I saw the idea in Stampin’ Up’s Idea Book and Catalog (p.103) But it wasn’t until I watched Dawns’ video tutorial that I actually tried making one. It was super easy, and went together quickly. I especially like the little pull out pages. I have taken my Girl Scout troop on many camping trips the past nine years. Wish I had made these with my girls way back then to record all our fond memories!

Father's Day Wallet
This is the second project we made at stamp club last week. It is a Father’s Day wallet. I saw this tutorial last year……….but it took me until this Father’s Day to get around to making one. I used a little Velcro dot on mine, to keep it closed. It is great for holding gift cards, cash, “coupons” from the kids, or even photos! Thanks for looking!

Happy Mother's Day!
Dear Mom,
Thank you for beinf my mom. Even though I usually take you for granted pretty much every single day of every single week, I want you to know that I love you and I have no clue what my life would be like without you. Thank you for all the car rides to and from all the places I go, all the meals you make for me (even though it usually happens to be Hamburger Helper). Thank you for always being there and listening to how my day went when you might not have had the best day yourself and for helpung me become the young lady I will someday be. You are an amazing mother and I hope some day I will be as great of a mom as you. Happy Mother's Day!
Love,
Your Webmaster and Daughter,
Emily
P.S.
Hope you like the new layout! Ben helped me pick it, so if you don't like it it's his fault ;)

I'm Back!!!
Sorry it’s been two weeks since my last post! While I was away………….
- We celebrated Ben’s 10th birthday
- I’ve designed 10 cards and ordered materials for a big stamping event at my church on May 30th
- I took my Girl Scout troop on a camping trip
- Emily (who posts for me) has been studying like crazy for her AP History exam
- Life happened!
Here is the first project we made at May’s stamp club meeting last night. I have seen these flowerpot cards on all the blogs. This is the video tutorial I followed to make my cards. They are super easy to make. The purple flowers were made using the Big Shot Stampin' Up Simple Flower Embosslits die. Thanks for looking!
