My Birthday Bash with Breakfast and Bingo

Today is my birthday!  I celebrated over the weekend doing one of my favorite things - stamping!  I hosted my 4th Annual Birthday Bash, this year with Bingo!   It was a busy morning and I didn't get to take photos of everything that I wanted to!  This is a "cake" I made using Hershey's Nuggets.  It went home with another birthday girl, Lynne, whose birthday was the day before.  She is one of my good friends and Stampin' Up! team members.

We started our morning with breakfast (no photos) and then we got right into playing  Bingo and drawing names for door prizes.  Our first winner was Debbie, who also won the first door prize.  She also won the jackpot game - which was a $120 gift certificate for Stampin' Up! merchandise.  Must be why she has such a big smile!

Debbie takes turns bringing her grandchildren with her to Bingo, and today it was Tim's turn.  He won one of the Bingo games, and I see chose the big candy bar as his door prize!

Below is Lisa with her Bingo prize.  This was the third time I hosted Bingo - Stampin' Up! style, and Lisa won a prize at all three events!

I'm sorry to say that I don't know who won the 4th game of Bingo!  I was busy cleaning up and didn't get to see who won - I'm guessing it was Debbie!  It certainly was her lucky day!

The day was full of surprises, and everyone went home with the birthday cards they stamped, a door prize, and a surprise gift for everyone.  Check back to see the stamping projects we made.

The next Bingo (Stampin' Up! style) will be on Saturday, October 1st.  Save the date!  I am still working on details - registration will begin in August.

My regular stamp classes will be held this weekend.  CLICK HERE for more information and to RSVP.  Space is limited to 6 at each class, so please RSVP to get your preferred spot.  We make the same projects at all sessions.

Open House Projects and Winners

If you came to my “Get the Scoop” events last week, you could have made these cards. They are both made using the “Circle Circus” and “Teeny Tiny Wishes” stamp sets, and two of the new In Colors cardstock (Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry.) My guests also made other cards and a little favor box, which they filled with ice cream flavored hard candy. I know door prizes are supposed to be given out the day of the event………but I wasn’t quite prepared! So here is the list of door prize winners and what they won.
#1 Dawn- a package of dimensionals
#2 Nancy – a birthday balloon incentive stamp and Tempting Turquoise ink spot
#3 Dawn (again!) – popsicle cards
#4 Leighanna – a pencil case and two pencils
#5 Wendy – a card kit to make 4 cards
#6 Wendy (again!) – a card kit with 4 cards already made

Congratulations! Thanks to everyone who came! I will be having another gathering in my home this fall, as soon as my new craft room is finished!

Join Hands Day

Today was “Join Hands Day” at my church. Several other churches in the area joined us to make 400 all occasion cards to send to military personnel overseas. The soldiers/ sailors will use them to send greetings back home to their friends and families. I was responsible for designing the cards, ordering the supplies (from Stampin’ Up of course!) and prepping 400 cards. I also taught several non-stampers how to make the cards. There were about 20 people there……..so if you do the math, you know they cranked out some cards in just a few hours! These are some of the cards that I prepped for the event. It was a lot of fun and we have over 50 packs of cards to send to the troops.

Quilt Card

I have seen these quilt cards everywhere……….but I CASEd mine from my favorite blogger, Dawn.
She has a tutorial on how to make the card, so I won’t repeat details here. I used the Baja Breeze Pattern designer paper, and a little bit of Baja Breeze 5/8” striped grosgrain ribbon behind the quilt.
I am planning a “Stamp Camp” for Saturday April 25th, when the rest of my family will be away. (Cliff and Ben will be at Cub Scout camp, and Emily will be participating in the 30 hour famine with the youth group at church.) You are invited to come to my house anytime between 9am – 9pm to make your choice of projects. Come when you can, stay as little or as long as you like! I will (have Emily) post some of the projects as soon as I get the samples completed and photographed. Most cards will be 4 for $5. Contact me with any question. Refreshments will be provided! If you are local, hope to see you there!

Club Project #3

This card was made using the “Loads of Love” and “Loads of Love accessories” stamp sets. My club members colored the image using the pastels, pencils, or stamp ‘n write markers. The paper is a Sale-A-Bration item, which you can get for FREE (16 sheets of 12 x 12 paper) with a $50 order through March 31st only.
