I Scrapped!

When I discovered Stampin' Up! (around 8 years ago) my scrap booking took a back seat.  I still take photos with scrapbook pages in mind - but it has been awhile since I really sat down and worked on my scrapbooks.  

A few months ago a woman at church asked me if I would help her make a scrapbook.  She wanted to record some highlights of her husband's career in the Marines.   Below are some of the completed pages.

I used Night of Navy, Marina Mist, Cherry Cobbler, and Crumb Cake throughout the album. I also used some non Stampin' Up! "Americana" patterned paper on some of the pages.  I know these pages are simple - but she and her husband were thrilled with the results.

Working on this scrapbook made we want to get back to working on some of my family albums - including one for my own husband's 30 year Navy career!

Creative Escape Part 3

Saturday was the annual Mother & Daughter Girl Scout Tea.  This is a photo mat I was selling to display pictures that were taken at the tea.  I stepped away from my table to take a peek at what was going on in the main hall and I never made it back to my table!  I ended up helping the mother/daughter models with their outfits.  So if you were at the tea and are interested in purchasing one of these mats for only $5, please email me at kathy.winter@hotmail.com and let me know!  The mat is made to fit inside an 8 x 10 frame (not included.) Photo Wallet

I thought this photo wallet would be a great project for upcoming Girl Scout Bridging Ceremonies. For those of you that don’t know………a Bridging ceremony is when the girls move from one level of Girl Scouting to the next. I made this one as a sample, using photos from several years ago, when my troop bridged from Juniors to Cadettes at the Virginia Beach Ocean Front. It was really special, since the girls planned the entire event themselves. I still need to add some journaling or more photos. Thanks for looking!

Camp Journal

This is a camp journal/scrapbook I made using paper lunch bags. I saw the idea in Stampin’ Up’s Idea Book and Catalog (p.103) But it wasn’t until I watched Dawns’ video tutorial that I actually tried making one. It was super easy, and went together quickly. I especially like the little pull out pages. I have taken my Girl Scout troop on many camping trips the past nine years. Wish I had made these with my girls way back then to record all our fond memories!
