Saturday Sketch #4

Here's another card that I made using a sketch challenge from a demonstrator group I am in, using the Hobby Haven Designer Series paper.

This pack of paper is great for making cards for your friends who like sewing/knitting, books/reading, spas, baking, and plants.

This paper pack also includes two sheets of coordinating die cuts - making it a perfect pack for scrapbooking on these same themes.

As you can see from the sketch - I used the basic sketch idea - but modified it quite a bit.  I did not want to cover too much of the Designer Series Paper - so I made the tag smaller and moved it up higher on the card.  I substitued the oval element for a "fussy cut" sentiment (from the Notes & Totes stamp set.)  I also added a greeting above the patterned paper.

I used the Hobby Haven Designer Series Paper to make another sketch card.  You can see that card BY CLICKING HERE.

Saturday Sketch #3

Here's a card that I made using a sketch challenge from a demonstrator group I am in. I used the Hobby Haven Designer Series paper to make this card.

This pack of paper is great for making cards for your friends who like sewing/knitting, books/reading, spas, baking, and plants.

This paper pack also includes two sheets of coordinating die cuts - making it a perfect pack for scrapbooking on these same themes.

Here are the papers included in this pack.

Here is the sketch that I used to make my card.

I used vellum for the "tag" layer - because I didn't want to cover up so much of the patterned paper.  I cut the vellum with a punch - then embossed with an embossing folder.  Finally I added ink to the piece using using a blending brush.  I probably wouldn't have added this detail to my card if I wasn't doing this sketch challenge.

Here are some of the products I used to make my card:

Saturday Sketch #2

Here's another card that I made using a sketch challenge from a demonstrator group I am in. Once again, I used the December Product of the Month to make my card.  As of today, this paper - TRUE BLUE FLORALS - is still available for only $5 when you place a $75 order from my online store.

The designs in this pack of paper are crisp and clear and coordinate beautifully with each other.  Don't miss out on this paper!  It is only available while supplies last.

Saturday Sketch #1

Here's a quick and easy card that I made using a sketch challenge from a demonstrator group I am in.  I decided to use the December Product of the Month to make my card.  As of today, this paper - TRUE BLUE FLORALS - is still available for only $5 when you place a $75 order from my online store.

Blue is my favorite color - but I wasn't WOWed by this paper - until I actually started cutting into it.  The designs are crisp and clear and coordinate beautifully with each other - so don't miss out on this paper!  It is only available while supplies last.

Here is the inside of my card - and the decorated envelope. (#nonakedenvelopes)

Here is the sketch that I used to make my card.
