Saturday Sketch #7

Here's another sketch card for you - a quick and easy card that you could make using almost any pack of Designer Series Paper (DSP.)

The greeting on this card is from the Fabulous Sayings stamp set, which was January's Product of the Month. Unfortuately, this set is no longer available - but there are several other products you can purchase for just $5, when you place a $75 order from my ONLINE STORE.

I followed the sketch almost exactly as shown - but I did mat two of the DSP pieces to make them "pop" a bit more.

Measurements for today's card (inches):

Petal Pink card base: 5-1/2 x 8-1/2; scored at 4-1/4
Secret Sea DSP strip: 1 x 5
Secret Sea mat: 3-5/8 x 3-1/8
Bold Floral DSP layer: 3-1/2 x 3
Secret Sea banner piece: 3-1/2 x 3/4; ends cut into a dovetail using scissors
Secret Sea mat: 2-7/8 x 1-7/8
Petal Pink DSP layer (for stamping sentiment): 2-3/4 x 1-3/4

*Note: for the Secret Sea mat layers, I used 12 x 12 two-tone card stock. This card stock is a lighter weight than our regular 8-1/2 x 11 cards stock, which reduces the bulk/thickness of the finished card.
