Envelope Punch Board Treat Box with video tutorial

I made these little treat boxes for everyone who attended a Stampin' Up! team meeting on Saturday.  They were really quick and easy to make using the Envelope Punch Board.  A few people asked for directions, so I thought I would make a quick video. The Punch Board is actually on the clearance rack!  So if you don't own a punch board - now is the time to get one at a big savings!  Items on the Clearance Rack are only available while supplies last.

This is a close up of the box - it shows off the ADORABLE new Designer Series Paper, Birthday Bonanza.  Inside each box was an Adhesive Eraser.  This is a tool every crafter should have.  Stampin' Up! no longer sells them but I was lucky enough to find them at the Dollar Tree of all places!

Below is the video tutorial for this project.  Watch to the end to see all of the patterns in the package of Birthday Bonanza paper pack!

Basic Instructions for treat box:

Cut card stock to 6x6 inches
Using Envelope Punch Board, punch and score card stock at 2 1/8 and 3 7/8
Rotate Cardstock and punch/score the three other sides

Cut Designer Series Paper at 2 x 7 1/2 inches
Score at: 1 1/4 ,  2 1/2,  5,  6 1/4 inches
Punch each end of the DSP using the Scallop Tag Topper punch

Wrap DSP around the treat box
Thread ribbon through holes in both ends of DSP and tie a knot/bow

Happy New Year - 2020

Happy New Year!  I can't believe another year has come and gone, and that it's also the beginning of  a new decade.  The years just seem to fly by!  I spent the last day of 2019 making cards to send to a few friends that did not get a Christmas card from me (for various reasons!)

This card uses almost all retired Stampin' Up! products.  The card stock is Lost Lagoon and the numbers were cut from BIGZ Dies (who remembers them?!)  The glimmer paper is in the current catalog, and the little flecks of color on the white card stock piece are made with the Waterfront stamp set - also in the current catalog.

This card was made using Designer Series paper from the current holiday catalog - but which has sold out.  I cut the DSP into 1/2" strips, spaced about 1/8 inch apart.  I used foil paper to cut out the "happy" using the current Well Wishes dies and placed it over an oval cut from Whisper White card stock using a stitched oval die.  The 1/4" copper trim is also available in the current annual catalog.  I used retired punches and the retired Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set for the greeting.

This card is similar to the first one above - but I used the large number dies (also retired) and Blackberry Bliss card stock.

There are only 2 days left to order from the current holiday catalog.  The new spring mini catalog goes live on January 3.  Sale-a-bration also starts, where you can earn free products with a qualifying order.  Please check back for more details.

Let it Snow

I pulled out the Snowman Season stamp set and had fun making a bunch of cards.  I also used the coordinating Snowman Builder Punch, Let it Snow Designer Series Paper, and Let it Snow embellishment kit.  I posted 7 cards on my business Facebook Page - and asked for people to choose their favorite.  Today I will show you the two that got the most  votes (at the time I wrote this post.)

The snowmen in the card above are actually just a piece of the Designer Series Paper that I matted on a piece of Real Red card stock.  I added the cute hat and scarf from the embellishment kit - they are made from real felt.  The kit includes 60 felt shapes in different coordinating colors.

The snowflakes are cut from Whisper White card stock using the Christmas Layers Dies.  This set of dies is bundled with the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set, which is the set I used to add the greeting on this card.

I saw a card like this on Pinterest, but I used a different piece of Designer Series Paper and Real Red card stock for the scalloped oval.  I wasn't sure if I liked the red snowflakes - so I will see if any of my customers change that when we make this card at my card class this weekend.  I encourage my customers to make the card the way they like it - and not necessarily the way I made it!

I posted 7 cards on my business Facebook page this morning.  CLICK HERE to take a look at the other cards - and to vote for YOUR favorite!
