Time to Retire

Stampin' Up has posted the items that will be retiring from the 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalog.  All retiring Stamp Sets will be available through May 31st.  The retiring accessories and Decor Elements are available "while supplies last" through May 31.

When you look at the retired accessories list, you will notice that all of our Stampin' Pads are listed.  This is because we are introducing a new Firm Foam Pad in our Classic Stampin' Pads beginning with the 2012-2013 annual catalog.  The Firm Foam pads offer better ink coverage and, in turn, better stamped images.

In addition, please note the following about the new catalog:

Only select Stampin' Write Markers will be available individually.  (The markers will continue to be offered in color collections.)

12x12 Textured Card Stock will no longer be  offered.

12x12 Smooth Card Stock will only be available in select individual colors, and in color collections.

Tea Time

This is one of the 100+ place cards I made for the adults who attended today's Girl Scout tea and fashion show.  It is just a 3x5 piece of Designer Series Paper folded in half, with coordinating card stock trim and handles.

This is one of the 100+ place cards I made for the girls at today's tea.  They are actually little purses that open up.  They are made using a 6x6 piece of DSP and coordinating card stock.  They are really easy to make and I think they turned out cute.

This photo shows the inside of the purse, which was filled with coupons and a patch for each of the Girls Scouts in attendance.

My club members made these purses at this month's club meetings.  A gift card fits inside perfectly!  If you would like to learn how to make these and other fun projects, contact me now at kathy.winter@hotmail.com

Friday Night Fun!``

Do these cards look familiar?  We made them at one of my Stamp-a-Stacks last year.  I found the packets of cards prepped and just waiting for someone to make them!  Stop by my house THIS FRIDAY NIGHT, March 30 at 7pm, and make your choice of 5 cards for $5!!!!  Make the cards for FREE with a $15 order.

Here are some more cards you can also make if you stop by on Friday night.  Mix and match and make what you want, all for $5 for 5 cards.  You can even use my supplies and design your own cards! The $5 fee is waived with a $15 purchase.  Bring a friend who hasn't stamped with me, and if she places a $25 order, you BOTH will receive a special gift from me!

February Stamp Club Project #2

This is the second card we made at my stamp club meetings in February.  We started with a piece of glossy cardstock and temporarily adhered a 1 3/8 inch circle to the area we wanted the moon to appear.  Then we inked up the brayer with Bashful Blue ink and ran it across the glossy cardstock.  We used Baja Breeze and rolled it across two-thirds of the card stock (over the Bashful Blue.) Then we used Night of Navy ink and the brayer to ink the bottom one-third of the cardstock.  We carefully removed the paper circle, and then used Stazon ink to stamp the beautiful trees from the "Lovely as a Tree" stamp set.  We layered the stamped piece onto black card stock and then onto a Bashful Blue card, which was embossed using the Tulips embossing folder.  Contact me at kathy.winter@hotmail.com if you would like more information about my stamp clubs or if you would like me to teach you and your friends how to make this card!

February Stamp Club Project #1

This is the first card we made in my February Stamp Club meetings.  We started with a piece of glossy card stock.  Then we tore a piece of wide painter's tape and secured it to the top and bottom of the glossy card stock.  We inked up the brayer using Regal Rose ink, and rolled it across the area not covered with tape.   Next we used Black Stazon ink and a stamp from the Fifth Avenue Floral Stamp set, to stamp a random pattern across the pink inked area.  Then we carefully removed the tape, stamped a greeting, layered it on a piece of black card stock and then onto a Regal Rose card.  Everyone loved this technique, and Stampin' Up's  beautiful glossy cardstock!
