Hoping for an Early Spring

As I'm writing this (to post later) we are in our third day of being snowed in - here in Chesapeake, Virginia.  We had about 10 inches of snow - and three days later the roads are still icy and snow covered.  Snow is so rare in this area - and so the cities will clear the major roads - but neighborhood roads reply on Mother Nature to melt them.  And with temps in the teens - that won't be anytime soon!

So I've enjoyed several days stuck at home stamping, and planning for upcoming events, and going back through old projects that I never posted on my blog.  These are projects from my April 2017 stamp club classes.  We were getting ready to launch a new Stampin' Up! catalog - so I used some retiring products as well as new In Colors.

The cards above use one of my favorite techniques - using Versamark ink to stamp a "watermark" image on the background.  Do you see the little baby booties and flowers on these cards?  I think it  adds a little more interest to the cards.

The cards above were made using the "new" 2017-2018 In Colors.  With every annual catalog launched in June, Stampin' Up! introduces 5 new colors.  These colors tend to be more trendy and fill in some of the color gaps in our regular collection of card stock and ink colors.  We made these quick and easy cards using punches that are now retired.

Finally, the cards below are gift cards.  I needed a graduation card, but gave my customers the option of  making a Weddding or Anniversary card.  For the graduation card, the gift card just tucks into a little pocket fold.  For the "love" card, we added an insert using Designer Series Paper, that  makes the gift card pop up when the card is opened.
