Hoping for an Early Spring

As I'm writing this (to post later) we are in our third day of being snowed in - here in Chesapeake, Virginia.  We had about 10 inches of snow - and three days later the roads are still icy and snow covered.  Snow is so rare in this area - and so the cities will clear the major roads - but neighborhood roads reply on Mother Nature to melt them.  And with temps in the teens - that won't be anytime soon!

So I've enjoyed several days stuck at home stamping, and planning for upcoming events, and going back through old projects that I never posted on my blog.  These are projects from my April 2017 stamp club classes.  We were getting ready to launch a new Stampin' Up! catalog - so I used some retiring products as well as new In Colors.

The cards above use one of my favorite techniques - using Versamark ink to stamp a "watermark" image on the background.  Do you see the little baby booties and flowers on these cards?  I think it  adds a little more interest to the cards.

The cards above were made using the "new" 2017-2018 In Colors.  With every annual catalog launched in June, Stampin' Up! introduces 5 new colors.  These colors tend to be more trendy and fill in some of the color gaps in our regular collection of card stock and ink colors.  We made these quick and easy cards using punches that are now retired.

Finally, the cards below are gift cards.  I needed a graduation card, but gave my customers the option of  making a Weddding or Anniversary card.  For the graduation card, the gift card just tucks into a little pocket fold.  For the "love" card, we added an insert using Designer Series Paper, that  makes the gift card pop up when the card is opened.

One More Gift Tag and Bag

Here is one last gift bag I made for the baby shower I recently attended.  I teach preschool at my church and it is our pastor's wife who is having a baby.  I wanted to give a gift of books from my class, and since my classroom is decorated in an owl theme, I knew I had tp make an owl gift bag.  I saw the idea on Pinterest, of course! (Kay Kalthoff)  I had all the kids sign the back of the bag and then I made another punch art owl as a tag to let the pastor and his wife know the gift was from my class.

Below is a photo of the back of the bag and a close up of the tag.

Making it Match

Since THIS BABY SHOWER CARD did not match the wrapping paper for the gift, I decided to make a tag that did match.  I made an envelope using the Envelope Punch Board.  I took some of the wrapping paper and matching card stock and wrapped it around the envelope.  Then  I used lots of Stampin' Up! punches to make a fox and an owl that looked similar to the animals on the gift wrap.  I tucked the card into the envelope and tied it onto the package.  You can see how I tucked the card into the envelope here:
I wish I had taken a photo of the entire package with the tag attached.  It looked so cute!  I also made a punch art hedgehog to go on a tag for a tote of books we also gave to the baby.
Since I had a lot of wrapping paper left over, I think I will be making these cute punch animals again!

Something for Baby

Today I will be attending a baby shower and this is the card that I made.  There were 12 of us that went together on a gift, so when I saw this card on Pinterest (Brianna Thompson), I new it would be perfect for allowing everyone to write a personal note on the back.  Below is the back of the card (before everyone had a chance to sign it.)

PLEASE CONTACT ME if you would like more information about making this card.

Gather a few of your friends together for a private class and let me show you how to make this and other cards for FREE, with a minimum Stampin' Up! order.

Monday's Mail

This cute card showed up in my mailbox last week.  I was super excited to see this because I helped Stephanie decide what kind of card to make to announce the birth of her baby.   The best part is that the baby's last name is Sweet, so he really is a "sweet baby."    Stampin' Up! stamp sets used to make this card are Zoo Babies, and Itty Bitty Banners.

If you would like to see the card I made to welcome this sweet baby into the world, CLICK HERE.

My stamp club meetings are coming up this weekend. I would love to have some new members join the fun!
There is no commitment - just pay a $7 materials fee or place a $15 order.

Something for Baby

How cute is this card?!  I made it for a baby who is due any day now!  I used the brand new stamp set Something for Baby and coordinating framelits dies to make this card.  I "CASED" the idea from Deb Valder.  I think we will make this card at my June stamp club meetings.  This card is actually fairly easy to make, and having the framelits makes it a lot easier - no fussy cutting involved!  This card does fold up flat, but you will have to make your own envelope since it is a little too big to fit in a regular sized envelope.

Visit my MY STAMPIN' UP! WEBSITE to shop 24/7 and to view this month's stamping events.  This weekend I have 3 FREE stamping sessions.  Space is limited, so please RSVP to get your preferred spot.
