8 Months until Christmas!

I usually post a Christmas card on the 25th of each month and challenge you to get start on making your Christmas cards now - so you can avoid the rush later in the year.

I do have one Christmas card here to show you, along with the other cards that we made at my stamp club classes this past weekend,  I have some extra supplies left over, so........if you missed club, or have always wanted to try stamping - now is your chance to give it a try!

March Homework Contest

I have monthly stamp club meetings and after each class I give my stampers a homework assignment.  At our February class I gave everyone the sketch above.  They were supposed to use it as inspiration to make a cards using Stampin' Up! products.  This gets them stamping in between our classes - and it helps them to actually USE the products that they purchase.

Below are the cards that were completed and shared at our March classes.

The cards below follow the sketch, but the three ladies that made them got together one day and made them into tiny cards.  Really cute.

I used random.org to choose a winner.

Bingo!

Friday night was my first ever Bingo! Stampin' Up! style.  Sixteen stamping friends and 2 of my team members met at a local restaurant for a night of fun.  We started off with dinner, then played 3 games of Bingo.  We made the 4 cards you see above - then played 2 more games of Bingo.

We moved from our "eating/Bingo" tables to "stamping" tables.  Everyone had a goody bag at their seat with 6 x 6 sheets of designer series paper, the supplies for the make and takes, and a little treat box filled with chocolate.

Below is a photo of everyone making their cards.  All four cards were made using the Fabulous Four stamp set by Stampin' Up!.  

 Below are photos during a Bingo game.  They were really concentrating on those numbers!

Here are the winners with their prizes.  Nancy M won the first game.  Her prize was Cherry on Top paper pack, coordinating card stock, washit tape, and a package of tear and tape.  Nancy also won another game - but she felt guilty for winning twice and wouldn't accept a second prize.

Lisa was a first time stamper and she won Prize #3.  It was the Fabulous Four stamp set, a clear block, and a black ink pad.  She opened up her prize and used it to make her cards.   I didn't snap her picture until she was just about ready to leave for the night.

Nancy K won prize #4 - the Watercolor Wishes card kit.  What a great kit.  It includes everything needed to make 20 beautiful cards, including a stamp set, ink, and clear block.  (You do need to have  your own adhesive.)

And finally, here is Lisa with her prize.  She won the jackpot : a $100 gift certificate to purchase Stampin' Up! merchandise.  How awesome is that?!  Maybe it's the reason she already signed up for our next BINGO night on June 3.

In addition to these prizes, everyone went home with a great door prize.  Stampers were able to chose the prize they wanted from stamp sets, Designer Series Paper, card kits, hand made cards, adhesive refills, and all kinds of other goodies.  We even gave everyone a roll of thick Baker's Twine as a parting gift.

Craft-it UP!

I am so excited to be teaching classes for Chesapeake City Parks & Rec.  This is one of the projects we will be making in a special Craft-it UP! series of classes, designed for you to make for that special someone for Mother's Day.   It is an 8x8 framed piece, made using retired designer series paper from Stampin' Up! and lots of Stampin' Up! punches.  There is a little stamping in there, too.

Everyone will also make a card, and depending on the age and skill level of the participants, I may throw in an extra bonus  project, too.  You can get more information about my classes BY CLICKING HERE  

I will be teaching the Craft-it UP! classes on Saturdays April 9-23 for the above projects and May 14-28 for the Father's Day project.

I will also be teaching Scrapbooking classes, Tuesday afternoons April 5-19 and May 3-17.

Finally, I will be teaching Card Making classes Friday mornings, June 3-17 and July 8-22.

All classes are offered over the course of 3 weeks for only $26.
