March Homework Contest

I have monthly stamp club meetings and after each class I give my stampers a homework assignment.  At our February class I gave everyone the sketch above.  They were supposed to use it as inspiration to make a cards using Stampin' Up! products.  This gets them stamping in between our classes - and it helps them to actually USE the products that they purchase.

Below are the cards that were completed and shared at our March classes.

The cards below follow the sketch, but the three ladies that made them got together one day and made them into tiny cards.  Really cute.

This photo shows how small they are - that is a quarter next to them!

       

I used random.org to choose a winner.  

The prize is this set of mini punches: Party Punch Pack from Stampin' Up!'s 2016 Occasions catalog.

More Homework

I gave my club members this sketch to use as inspiration for making a card for their January homework assignment.  I like to give homework to my club members to keep them stamping in between our club meetings, and to also to get them to use the products that they purchase from me.

I was so glad to see so many stampers complete the homework assignment.  And for the first time in a LONG time, I did the homework myself.  Here is the card I made:

Contest Time

Homework Projects - a little late!

I like to give my stamp club members "homework" after our monthly classes.  If I forget - someone usually asks for it!  This is one way to keep the ladies stamping in between our classes.  Several months ago, I had everyone pick some scraps of Designer Series Paper out of these boxes.  I thought this was a clever way to store my scraps - but it wasn't working for me!  So, since I have a difficult time throwing away good paper - I had my stampers take as much as they wanted - to make anything they wanted for their homework.

Aren't they fabulous?!  I know some very creative stampers.  I usually have a contest to choose the winner - but this time I will give a prize to every stamper who leaves a comment reminding me which card is theirs!  Of course, other comments are welcome and appreciated!

Stamp Club Homework

If you attend my stamp club classes, you know that I like to give homework - to keep everyone stamping in between our monthly meetings.  Anyone who accepted the challenge at my February meetings, was given the following pieces to make a card:

These are pieces that came in one of the make & takes from the Stampin' Up! convention a few years ago.  This is the card Stampin' Up! designed using the pieces:

Below are the cards my club members made with the same pieces (plus any other supplies they wanted to use.)  I was blown away with the results.  Take a look at the cards below - and then please leave a comment by April 20 to vote for your favorite.

#1 is an easel card, show propped open using brads.

Below is card 2. I'm sorry, but I could not get the number 2 to show up on the photo.

 Card #6 was made by a BRAND NEW STAMPER.  She never even heard of Stampin' Up! until she came to my February class!  So I am extremely impressed with her card!

Card #7 is a gate fold card - which opens in the center (like card #4 - I just didn't get a good photo with the card open.)  The flower and "Happy Easter" are only attached to one side of the card.

Aren't these cards FABULOUS?!!!!  Did you see all the pieces used in each of the cards.  No?!  That's because some stampers did NOT use all of the pieces.  It was kind of comical to hear the excuses about the missing parts!!  The teacher in me wants to exclude those cards from the contest..........but I just couldn't do that because of how much work these ladies put into their projects!  (Although, I did not accept any late homework - right, Kathy?!)  Stampers - if you don't see your card here - please let me know!
