Homework

At my stamp classes last week - I gave everyone (that wanted to accept the challenge) a piece of Designer Series Paper from the Garden Impressions 6x6 Designer Series Paper stack.  I told them to make a card/project using that piece of paper.

I decided to accept my own challenge, and below is the card that I made using one of the papers.
I can't wait to see if anyone completed their "homework" when we meet on Sunday for this month's class.

I am always looking for new stampers - so please CONTACT ME if you would like information about my stamp classes and events.

My Birthday Cards - part 2

Below are five more beautiful cards I received for my birthday last month.  You can see the first five on my previous blog post.  Although I received most of these cards as part of a homework assignment for my stamp club members, there were several that I received from non- members, too.

It sure was fun to receive each one of these beautiful, hand made birthday cards  - as well as the other cards that came from a store!  It's just fun getting snail mail that's not a bill or junk.

If you would like to receive a hand made birthday card for YOUR birthday, just EMAIL ME with you birthday and address.

My Birthday Cards - part 1

Below are five beautiful cards that I received for my birthday last month.  I was very excited every time one of these beauties showed up in my mailbox - or when it was handed to me in person.  I might not have received all these beautiful cards if I hadn't assigned it as "homework" to my stamp club members in June!

Check back to see the rest of the cards I received.

March Homework Contest

I have monthly stamp club meetings and after each class I give my stampers a homework assignment.  At our February class I gave everyone the sketch above.  They were supposed to use it as inspiration to make a cards using Stampin' Up! products.  This gets them stamping in between our classes - and it helps them to actually USE the products that they purchase.

Below are the cards that were completed and shared at our March classes.

The cards below follow the sketch, but the three ladies that made them got together one day and made them into tiny cards.  Really cute.

This photo shows how small they are - that is a quarter next to them!

I used random.org to choose a winner.
The prize is this set of mini punches: Party Punch Pack from Stampin' Up!'s 2016 Occasions catalog.

Party Punch Pack by Stampin' Up!

And the winner is card 3.

To claim the prize - the winner must leave a comment on this post telling me who they are!

I have 3 other prizes for any of the other stampers who made one of these cards - and leaves a comment on this post!

Homework Cards

At my December stamp club classes I gave everyone a copy of the sketch below and asked them to use it as inspiration for making a project to bring to class in January.  This is a way to keep my stampers stamping in between our monthly classes!

Below are the cards that were completed and returned.

I was a little disappointed that I only had three stampers complete their homework!  I'm not sure if it was a difficult challenge for my stampers or if it was just a busy time of year. As a reward for completing the challenge, each of the stampers will receive a surprise gift from me  at this month's club meeting.

Homework and Show & Tell

As you may know, I like to give my stamp club members homework at the end of each class.  This keeps them stamping in between our monthly classes.  Below are the cards that were brought back to June's meeting.  The homework assignment was to use vellum.

Sometimes stampers will also bring Show & Tell - something else that they have made between our monthly meetings. I always enjoy seeing these projects because then I know that my stampers are using the products and tools they buy!  Below are the Show & Tell items shared at my June classes.

I hope I didn't miss posting any of the projects.  I often forget to take a photo and sometimes I use my phone instead of my camera to take pics.  So I sometimes miss a photo or two.

January's Homework

If you attend my monthly stamp club classes, then you know that I like to give homework.    It is a way to keep everyone stamping in between our monthly meetings.  This month's homework was to "alter" the cover of a pocket calendar like the one below.

Below are two examples that I showed them - to give them inspiration.

I gave everyone a 6 1/2" x 5 " piece of Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper (a Sale-a-bration item that you can get FREE with a $50 order,)  They chose a coordinating strip of card stock, and ribbon from the Best Year Ever Accessory Pack (another Sale-a-bration item you can get FREE with a $50 order.)

Several stampers were very excited about this homework!  I can hardly wait for February's classes to see what they made.

PLEASE CLICK HERE   to see my calendar of events and to RSVP for my events.  New stampers are always welcome to join the fun!

Homework Cards

Each month I try to give my stamp club members "homework."  This is one way to keep them stamping between our monthly meetings.  It also gets them to actually USE the things they purchase.  And this month it gave me some beautiful handmade Christmas cards since their homework assignment was to make a Christmas card for me!  Here are the cards I received:

If I receive anymore late "assignments" I will post them at a later date!
