These are post it note holders that I made for everyone at the scrapbook retreat I went to over the weekend.  They were made using the Follow Your Art Designer Series paper and coordinating card stock from Stampin' Up!  The greeting on the front is from the Crafting Forever stamp set and inside I stamped a greeting from the new stamp set, It Starts with Art.

These post it note holders are super easy to make.  I cut the card stock 3 1/8 inches by 6 1/2 inches.
Score on the long side at 3 1/8  and 3 3/8 inches.

My post it note pads are 3"x 3"  about 1/4 inch thick.  If your pads are a different size - then you may have to adjust these measurements a little bit.  For the front cover, I cut the DSP at 2 3/4" square and the card stock mat is 2 7/8 inch square.

I am glad that I made one of these for myself - because I used the post it notes to mark the places on my scrapbook pages where I need to add journaling to the pages.

Where Were You?

Where were you 50 years ago today?  Are you old enough to remember the Apollo 11 Moon Landing?  I had just turned 12 and thought it was great that I got to stay up late to watch history being made.  Maybe that is the reason I have always been interested in space travel.  When I lived and taught in Northern Virginia, a trip to the Air & Space Museum in Washington D.C. was always my favorite!  Anyone born that historic day - is now 50 years old!  These would be perfect cards for them.  I made them using the March 2019 Paper Pumpkin kit.

Below are two samples of the cards that came in this kit.

Celebrate!

These are cards that we made at my birthday bash last year.  I wasn't able to hold my annual birthday bash this year because I am away at a scrap booking retreat. 

 This is the house where 11 of us will be spending the weekend - working on our scrapbooks and other projects.  I already finished 3 pages.  You can see them on my Facebook Business Page HERE  While you are there be sure to like my page so you can keep up with all my paper crafting projects.

Here is the car packed with all our stuff for the weekend.  Do you think we packed enough?!  Our tables are in groups of 3 or 4.

Here is the great room upstairs and my bed - if I ever make it upstairs!

 

This house is decorated so thoughtfully - really cute.

Finally, you can't have a birthday without cake and ice cream.  Can you tell that is my sister standing behind me?!   Four of us who arrived a day early enjoyed the ice cream cake on the front porch - then it was back to work fun!

A Little Smile

I made these cards using the June 2019 Paper Pumpkin kit, "A Little Smile."  The cards are too small to mail ( 2 1/4 x 3 1/2) -  instead they were designed to be given to someone in person.  What a great way to make people smile and to brighten their day.  I knew these cards would be perfect to take with me on our recent vacation to Cape Cod.  I made the first four cards at our hotel the first night and made four more an cards on another night.  I gave all eight cards away during the week  AND I still have 8 more to make - or to use to create other projects.

I left the first card for housekeeping - when we went out for the day.  I included a cash tip, and wrote a  note explaining how nice it is to come back to a clean room and freshly made bed at the end of our busy day.  I was surprised to receive a little note back!

The next card (with a personal note and tip) was for our tour guide on a boat ride.

I gave these cards to our servers at two of the restaurants we went to during the week. 

This is a card/gift card that I gave to our tour bus driver - after 3 days of driving us to our special events.  

This is another card that I left for housekeeping on the last day.  If you are counting - the last two cards were also left for housekeeping; I just didn't remember to take a photo.

I really enjoyed giving these cards to some of the people who made our vacation special.  I forgot to mention that this kit came with a small plastic envelope to hold several cards.  It doesn't take up much room in my purse, so I hope to keep a stash of this size card with me at all times - to give out to those who may need a smile.
