Happy New Year!

No surprise that I am late wishing you a Happy New Year!  I believe that I have a pretty good excuse - I've been super busy creating projects to share with you from the Jan-June 2021 mini catalog and Sale-a-Bration brochure.  The catalog goes LIVE tomorrow and Sale-a-bration starts then as well.  You can earn exclusive stamp sets and Designer Series Paper packs with qualifying orders.  I've been giving sneak peeks at some of the products in a private Facebook Group, 2 Sisters Stamping.  As you may have guessed, my sister is co-hosting the catalog launch with me - so you are getting DOUBLE the amount of sneak peeks.  It's not too late to join the fun - just CLICK HERE to see all the products we have been sharing, and to have a chance to win prizes!!!

These cards were made using the PLAYING WITH PATTERNS Designer Series Paper from the Stampin' Up! annual catalog.  This is a pack of 6x6 paper (48 sheets - 4 each of 12 double sided designs.)  Such a great pack of paper for making cheery and festive cards.  Match it with the coordinating card stock colors and you can't go wrong!

You may have noticed that on some of these cards I kept the small banners straight, and on the other cards I placed them on an angle. I added a small piece of GOLD FOIL CARD STOCK to the right edge of the DSP and matted the greeting using the Gold Foil as well.  Do you know where I got the Happy New Year sentiment?  It's from one of my favorite stamp sets, ITTY BITTY CHRISTMAS.  I just inked up the "Happy New Year" from one of the stamps using a Stampin' Write marker

Supplies needed to make these cards:

  • Calypso Coral, Coastal Cabana, Crushed Curry, Night of Navy, or Purple Posy card base 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, scored at 4-1/4
  • Playing with Patterns Designer Series Paper, cut 3-3/4 x 5
  • Gold Foil Sheet cut 1/2 x 5  and 7/8 x 2-3/4
  • Whisper White for the greeting 5/8 x 2-1/2
  • Night of Navy Stampin' pad
  • Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set
  • *I added some retired gold sequins to the front of the card

I think it is easy to use the photo to assemble this card. The small banners under the greeting are made with scraps of the card stock and DSP.  I punched the ends using the BANNERS PICK A PUNCH  The longer banners are 2" and the shorter are 1-1/2"
