6 Weeks Until Christmas - Quick and Easy cards

Christmas is six weeks from today - which means there is still time to make cards to send to your friends and family.  All of the cards I feature today were made using the Joyful Days Memories & More card pack.  There are 54 double sided cards in this pack; some are 3 x 4" and some are 4 x 6".  You get six of each design - so you can make multiples of the same design - or  you can make all of your card designs different!

The two cards below were made using the Memories and More cards layered on a card front - with the smaller card matted with the same card stock as the card base.  Super easy.  I trimmed the background card on the right to show more of the card base.  The card on the left has an added greeting from a retired stamp set.

The cards below were inspired by a card sketch.  I cut one of the larger cards into smaller pieces and attached to the card base in opposite corners.  Then I die cut - or trimmed one of the cards to make the focal piece.  For the card on the left, I added ribbon behind the sentiment piece.  The card on the right has diagonal card stock strips as an accent.

I featured the cards below on an earlier "Saturday Sketch" blog post in Septemeber.  I used the Branching Out dies to add accent pieces to these cards.  You can see that post BY CLICKING HERE.

Here are some of the products I used to make my cards.  Unfortunately, the Memories and More cards are currently out of stock - but are due to be back later this month.  Because these cards are quick and easy - you will still have time to make these cards and get them in the mail before Christmas.  If you click on an unavailable item below - you can ask Stampin' Up! to send an email letting you know when it is available to order.

7 weeks until Christmas

Only 7 short weeks until Christmas - so today I'm going to show you 7 of my favorite kits from the online store.  Stampin' Up! introduces at least 2 new kits each month - and sometimes it's hard to keep up with them.  So take a look at my suggestions below and see if you agree with me: these kits are great!  There's a kit for just about everyone on your list ! Then check out ALL THE KITS in my online store!

#1  Handmade and Heartfelt Kit  ($32; makes 10 cards and a sturdy card organizer)
The colors in this kit are just beautiful; plus all of the cards have special touches that make them so pretty.  And with that sturdy box to keep everything organized - you can't go wrong with this kit!

#2 Beautiful Blues kit ($23; makes 9 cards)
I love the color blue - so this kit caught my eye right away.  I guess a lot of people agree with me - because this kit is on low inventory - so get it while you still can!

#3 Birthday Fancy Kit ($25; 12 cards)
This kit has all the supplies to make 12 different and unique cards.  Use the pieces in the kit to get creative - or follow the instrutions that are provided.  Either way - you end up with a stack of cards - ready to mail at a moment's notice.

#4 Share a Smile ($14; 8 notecards and a storage box)
The name of this kit says it all!  Make these quick note cards (NO STAMPING INVOLVED), put them in the included box, and always have a card to send - for no other reason than to make someone smile, knowing you are thinking about them.

#5 Hello, Hollycocks ($16; 9 cards)
I just LOVE this kit.  It's another quick and easy one - NO STAMPING - but the cards are so pretty in real life.  Can't go wrong with this one!

Use all the pieces in this kit to make a cute mini album - to preserve your holidays.  Lots of spaces for photos and memories.  Makes a great gift!

#7  Make a Memory Scrapbooking Kit ($36; makes six, 2 page 12"x12" scrapbook layouts)
I think this is a hidden gem!  See my previous blog post about it BY CLICKING HERE.

Below are the kits I featured today.  Click on any image to see it in my online store.

9 Weeks Until Christmas - Video Tutorial

Just 9 weeks until Christmas!  Have you started making your Christmas cards yet?  Here is one of the cards that I was working on last week, and will be sending it out to some of the people on my Christmas card list.

I originally made the card below - when I first purchased the Branching Out bundle.  This stamp set is not really a Christmas one - but I saw a similar card on Pinterest - and thought the snow tipped branches would make a BEAUTIFUL holiday card.

I also made the card using different card stock colors, including Shaded Spruce and Night of Navy.  Instead of stamping a Christmas greeting from another stamp set - I used greetings from the Greetings for You Mix & Max Ephemera Pack.  There are A LOT of different self-adhesive greetings in the package.  These greetings are very sturdy and most of the time I attached them using Stampin' Dimensionals.

I added ribbon or twin to the stamped layer - before attaching it to the card front.  You may notice that I also embossed the bottom layer of Crumb Cake card stock - which adds a beautiful look to the card.  I used a retired embossing folder (Timber) on my card.

Watch the video below to see how I made this card.

Here are the pieces you will need to make the original card.

Below are some of the products I used to make these cards.  Click on any image to add it to your shopping cart.  When you place an order of $75 or more through Friday October 24 - you will receive FREE SHIPPING - and you will also earn Stampin' Rewards!
