Saturday Sketch

Here are two cards that I made using the same sketch - for a sketch challenge from a demonstrator training group I am in.

Here is the sketch I used to make my cards:

I followed the sketch closely - except I substituted the hearts in the sketch for other small die cuts and a greeting. I used  Christmas Tags and More 6x6 Specialty Designer Series Paper, Christmas Greetings Mix & Match Specialty cards & envelopes, and the Greetings for You Mix & Match Ephemera Pack - all from Stampin' Up! - to make these cards.

How to make today's cards:
  • The plaid card bases are from the Christmas Greetings Mix & Match specialty cards and envelopes.  They are a little larger (4-1/4 x 6-1/4) than a regular card base (4-1/4 x 5-1/2) and are a nice size for holiday cards.  They have beautiful gold foiling on them!
  • The Garden Green or Real Red card stock banner is 2 x 5-1/4. Cut a 1/2"  notch out of the bottom.
  • The stockings and tree images are 2 x 3" pieces, cut from the Christmas Tags and More designer paper.
  • Both of the above pieces are matted on 2-1/4 x 3-1/4 piece of gold foil.
  • I used die cut pieces from the designer paper and added greetings from the Greetings for You Mix & Match Ephemera pack.
  • I added a bow using Real Red & White baker's twine.
  • (After I took the photo of these cards - I decided to add some Iridescent dots on the card front.)

Below are some of the products I used to make these cards.  Click on any image to add the item to your shopping cart.

10 Weeks Until Christmas

Are you thinking about making Christmas cards this year?   There's plenty of time - Christmas is still 10 weeks away!   It can be a little overwhelming to come up with the perfect design - and lots of people tell me they get bored making more than 2 or 3 of the same card.  I made these cards with products that allow you to make a lot of Quick and Easy cards - and they can all be different, if you want them to be.

  • The plaid card bases are a little larger (4-1/4 x 6-1/4) than a regular card base (4-1/4 x 5-1/2) and are a nice size for holiday cards.  They have beautiful gold foiling on them!
  • The 6x6 designer paper includes 32 pieces of double-sided paper and 4 sheets of die cut pieces - which allow for unlimited uses on your cards - and would even work on scrapbook layouts.
  • The Ephemera pack of beautiful, self-adhesive foil greetings- make it super easy to finish these cards.

Here are some of the cards I made using these products - no stamping involved!

I made the two cards below using a card sketch.  Come back to my blog on Saturday to see the details for making these cards.

I made the cards below using the Branching Out stamp set. Yes - I did say you could make these cards without stamping........but the card bases are so beautiful with this stamp set, and will work with other stamps sets you might already have.

Below are some of the products I used to make my cards.  You can click on any image for more information about the product - and to add it to your wish list or shopping cart in my online store.
