Blog Hop with a Little Blog Candy!

I am so excited to be participating in the Simply INKcredible Sisters Holiday Blog Hop!  We will be focusing on Christmas projects.   You may have arrived here from Dawn Duval's blog, or maybe you are one of my followers who came here today for your occasional dose of inspiration.  If you should get lost along the way, click on the links below to get back on the hop.  Have fun!
My first project is what I call a Backwards Card.  Below is what it looks like as you  begin to open it....
And then here is what it looks like on the inside.  There is plenty of room to write a personal message, or to attach a photograph.
Supplies used to make this card:
Stamp Sets:  Ornament Keepsakes, More Merry Messages (These sets are NOT in the annual catalog, but they ARE still available for purchase.)
Card stock: Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive
Designer Series Paper: Season of Style
Other: Big Shot, Scallop Circle Bigz Die, Labels Collection Framelits, Holiday Ornament Framelits, 1/4" stitched Whisper White grosgrain ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals

Below is my second project - a Christmas card, with a little surprise inside!  This is a quick & easy card to make when you want to give someone a gift card for the holidays.

Supplies used to make this card:
Stamp Sets: Merry Little Christmas, More Merry Messages
Card stock: Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive
Designer Series Paper: Season of Style
Other: Big Shot, Labels Collection Framelits, Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, 1 1/4" circle punch, Stampin' Dimensionals

I hope you enjoyed my projects today.  Now I would like to give you a chance to win some Blog Candy!  Please leave a comment on this post by midnight on Monday, November 18. I will choose a winner at random to win a Season of Style Designer Series Paper Stack.  It is a stack of 48 sheets (4x6) of double-sided paper sized for card fronts.   I used some of the patterns to make today's projects!

Now hop along to Liz Haddon's blog to see her Christmas Creations.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Anniversary to Me!

Today marks my one year anniversary as a Stampin’ Up demonstrator and only about a year and a half as a stamper. I always avoided stamping, thinking I spent enough money on my scrapbooking habit! But after I attended a workshop where my upline, Susan Elise, was the demonstrator, I was hooked! She is not only a talented and creative person………she is one of the sweetest, generous, and most patient people I know! Never in a MILLION years did I think I would be selling ANYTHING but Susan Elise reminded me that I am a teacher (I used to teach children with Learning Disabilities) and she was right! I basically teach others how to make projects, and the quality of Stampin’ Up products sell themselves.
It has been a fun year of learning just about everything I know about stamping from Susan Elise, and her team of “Southern Stars”. I spent hours on
SplitCoastStampers.com and even more hours “blurfing” (blog surfing) the sites of other super creative Stampin’ Up! demonstrators. I did a few workshops this past year, but mostly I talked a few friends into joining a monthly stamp club to support me in this new venture. (Thanks Wendy, Nancy, Leighanna, Glenda, Judy, Donna, Lyn, and Kathy!) An extra big “Thank You” goes out to Donna (who also happens to be my sister) for getting her group of crafty friends to place orders on a regular basis. I wouldn’t be starting a second year as a demonstrator if it wasn’t for all of you!!!!
So just for fun…….here is the first project I ever designed and stamped……my 2007 Christmas cards.

And here are the cards I made for Christmas 2008. I designed the snow globe card myself and cased the Christmas tree from
this site.

Thanks for taking the time to read all the way to the end of this post. Please leave a comment. If I get comments from at least 10 different people, I will choose a winner for some kind of blog candy.

I Won Candy!

A few weeks ago, I won this blog candy from another Kathy. It was the first time I ever won blog candy after almost a year of "blurfing" (blog surfing :]) I'll give out some blog candy of my own when I know for sure someone is out there taking a look at my blog besides me and my daughter! (Thanks for being my blog master, Emily. You rock!)
