Kathy's Kraftbox - December 2016 - with Video!

This is the project we will be making in December's Kathy's Kraftbox classes.  These are a series of classes that I teach for the Chesapeake, VA  Parks & Recreation Department.  This is a calendar that fits into a CD case.  You will stamp different images on each month's calendar.  Watch the video to see each calendar page.

Below are photos of the calendar pages.

This is actually a great project for the beginner stamper.  Most of the pages are just basic stamping.  There are a few with a few extra steps - but I guarantee that anyone can make this calendar within the two hour class!

Below are the date/places/times for these classes.  We make the same project at each class session - you just pick the place/day/time that works for you. Class fee is $18.  Please sign up ASAP.   The classes are early in the month and registration ends 3 days before the class session.

2013 Calendar Class

A group of stampers came over on Saturday morning to make this Calendar, which fits in a CD case.  By the end of the morning (or rather early afternoon!) we decided that the saying "Time flies when you are having fun!" is true!

It is a shame that we are almost halfway through January, because we will only be looking at this beautiful image for a few weeks, before we have to flip to February.

Below are the other pages we made for this year's calendar.

My friend and down line, Lynne, taught this class with me.  August and September were two of her designs and I was not being a good student when she was teaching us how to make these pages.  I guess I must have been talking too much because I stamped the August image on September and Septembers images on August.  Oops!  Sorry, Lynne!  And you might have noticed that December's page is missing!  Long story.........but hopefully I will have it to show to you soon.

January's Stamp Club Project

We will be making this calendar in our stamp club meetings this month.  Each month has its own page and all the pages fit inside a CD case.  We will be using lots of different products and techniques to make the calendar.

Can you see the new stamps that I used to make the April and May calendar pages?  One is from the new Occasions Mini Catalog and one is from this year's Sale-a-Bration catalog.  I have lots of other new stamp sets and supplies to show you. This is the club meeting you do not want to miss!!!!

Go to my Stampin' Up website kathywinter.stampinup.net and RSVP to one of my club meetings!

January Stamp Club Project #2

I CASEd the idea for Project #2 from this post as well as this one. (SCS)

The base of the calender is a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 piece of black card stock, scored at 4 1/4.

I stamped seasonal images from "Best Wishest & More" on each of the colored pieces of cs (4 x 5 1/4) using Versamark ink:

Bashful blue/ snowflake/ Jan-Mar

Pixie Pink/ bird/ Apr-Jun

YoYo Yellow/ flower/ July-Sept

Tangerine Tango/ leaf/ Oct-Dec

(As a relatively new S.U. demonstrator, my supplies are limited. These were the colors I had on hand...I'm sure there are other color combinations that would coordinate better.)

I stamped the appropriate tree from "A Tree For All Seasons" (sadly retired Jan. 18th) on a 1 3/4" square of Whisper White, with a 2'' square black card stock mat. The images were colored using Stampin' Write markers.

I printed the calendar from this website and reduced the size 70% so that the three month block measures approx 1 1/4 x 4 1/4. The black mat measures 4 1/2 x 1 1/2.

I used the Cropodile (Love it!) to punch holes at the bottom. The black gigham ribbon is not only decorative, but it helps to keep the calender card standing up.

Wouldn't this be a great way to remember your club meetings?
