Quilt Card

I have seen these quilt cards everywhere……….but I CASEd mine from my favorite blogger, Dawn.
She has a tutorial on how to make the card, so I won’t repeat details here. I used the Baja Breeze Pattern designer paper, and a little bit of Baja Breeze 5/8” striped grosgrain ribbon behind the quilt.
I am planning a “Stamp Camp” for Saturday April 25th, when the rest of my family will be away. (Cliff and Ben will be at Cub Scout camp, and Emily will be participating in the 30 hour famine with the youth group at church.) You are invited to come to my house anytime between 9am – 9pm to make your choice of projects. Come when you can, stay as little or as long as you like! I will (have Emily) post some of the projects as soon as I get the samples completed and photographed. Most cards will be 4 for $5. Contact me with any question. Refreshments will be provided! If you are local, hope to see you there!

Egg Hunt

Tomorrow is Stamp Club and the 3D project we will be making is this altered soup can. I opened the can using a Pampered Chef can opener – the kind that doesn’t leave a sharp edge. After enjoying the soup and washing the can, I covered it with patterned paper (non SU.) I used the new “Egg Hunt” wheel from the Occasions mini catalog on a 1” strip of whisper white. I colored the eggs using colored pencils. I used the Eyelet Border punch along both edges of a 3” strip of Lovely Lilac cardstock, and then layered it onto the can using SNAIL and sticky strip. I used a retired stamp to make the tag, but I think I will use the scraps from the 1” wheeled strip when we make the project tomorrow. Then you fill the can with whatever you choose, seal it back up using Crystal Effects, craft glue, or a hot glue gun. The person you give the gift to, opens the can using the pop top. I made these for teacher gifts for different holidays (filling them with candy and a lottery ticket) and they were a big hit!

Say It With Scallops

These cards were the third set made at my March Stamp-A-Stack. I CASEd (Copy And Share Everything) the idea from a card I received from Marion S. at a "Southern Stars" demonstrator's meeting. As usual, everyone chose which sentiments they wanted for their cards, which inks, which side of the designer series paper, etc.

RECIPE:

Stamp Set: Say It With Scallops

Paper: Delicate Dots designer series paper (5 1/2 x 1 1/2- one one inside edge- one on front); So Saffron, Bashful blue, Certainly Celery, Sahara Sand, Whisper White cardstock

Ink: Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, Sahara Sand

Accessories: Scallop Square Punch, Crimper (for cardstock square) 1/16'' hand held punch or white get pen (to embellish scalloped edge if desired), dimensionals
