Truly Grateful

This was the third project we made at my September stamp club meetings.  It is a notecard made using the stamp set, Truly Grateful.  I won this set at the Stampin' Up! convention this summer.  It is available to order from the current Holiday Catalog.  It is perfect set for making Autumn or Thanksgiving cards. I always encourage my club members to make the card their own, and below is the same card with a few changes.
I think this was Ellen's card.  She put the linen thread on the stamped image and changed how the banner was punched.  We used Stampin' Up!'s notecards as the base for these cards.  They are a great value: 20 Whisper White cards with envelopes for only $5.95.  Can you see the wood grain texture on the Chocolate Chip cardstock?  That was made using the Woodgrain Embossing Folder and the Big Shot.   My club members had a chance to use the new Envelope Liners Framelits Dies to line the envelopes using Sweater Weather Designer Series Paper.  I don't have a photo.......but it sure added a WOW factor to the card.

Cupcake Throne

This was the second project we made at my September Stamp club meetings.  I stayed with the cupcake theme and made a little cupcake holder. Hopefully you will be able to imagine a cute cup cake sitting on this throne!  I made a few adjustments to a tutorial on Jan Tink's blog so that we could make these "thrones" using just one single sheet of 8 1/2 x 11" card stock.

Stampin' Up! Supplies:
Gumball Green, Raspberry Ripple, Whisper Whiter card stock, Birthday Basics Designer Series Paper. Raspberry Ripple ink,  2 1/2" circle punch, scallop oval punch, Designer Label punch, Bring On The Cake stamp set.

Cupcake Card

This was the first project we made at my September stamp club meetings.  I have been wanting to make this card ever since I received one similar to it for my birthday from my Convention roommate, Dawn.  You can see her card BY CLICKING HERE.  This card uses the current In Colors Pistachio Pudding, Crisp Cantaloupe, and Baked Brown Sugar..... LOVE THEM!!!!  Below is what you see when you open the card:
It looks like the cupcakes are floating!  Super Duper Cute!  Everyone loved this card, and except for a lot of punching, this card is fairly easy to make!  CONTACT ME if you would like to make this card with your friends at a private class!

Another Winner

Way back in July I found this wooden box which is really meant to store cassette tapes. I have 4 boxes like this hanging on the wall in my craft room.  They are perfect for storing Stampin' Up! ink pads.  I didn't need another one, but I couldn't pass it up when I saw it at a Thrift Shop.  So I had a contest for my customers to come up with an idea for what they would do for this box.  Connie won - she is going to make titles for displaying my students work this year.  I think I got the better end of the deal!
