Happy Easter!

These are the Easter Bunny baskets we made with my Pre-K kids using the Berry Basket Big Die from Stampin' Up!  We used the Bow Builder Punch to make bow ties for the boys and hair bows for the girls.  Aren't they adorable?!
Below are ceramic crosses the children also made - to remind them of the true meaning of Easter.  The images and words were stamped on the cross using Stazon Ink, and then colored using permanent (Sharpie) markers.  They did a pretty good job!
Easter Blessings to you and your family!

Truly Grateful

This was the third project we made at my September stamp club meetings.  It is a notecard made using the stamp set, Truly Grateful.  I won this set at the Stampin' Up! convention this summer.  It is available to order from the current Holiday Catalog.  It is perfect set for making Autumn or Thanksgiving cards. I always encourage my club members to make the card their own, and below is the same card with a few changes.
I think this was Ellen's card.  She put the linen thread on the stamped image and changed how the banner was punched.  We used Stampin' Up!'s notecards as the base for these cards.  They are a great value: 20 Whisper White cards with envelopes for only $5.95.  Can you see the wood grain texture on the Chocolate Chip cardstock?  That was made using the Woodgrain Embossing Folder and the Big Shot.   My club members had a chance to use the new Envelope Liners Framelits Dies to line the envelopes using Sweater Weather Designer Series Paper.  I don't have a photo.......but it sure added a WOW factor to the card.

August Stamp Club project

I received this card in a SWAP at convention.  I LOVE Stampin' Up!'s Designer Series Paper and how the colors all coordinate so well.  I have been seeing a lot of cards using this technique on different blogs and decided to try it for myself.  I watched several videos on You Tube to see how it was done.  The card below is the one we made at my August stamp club meetings.
We used the Gingham Garden designer series paper, which has a lot of bright bold patterns.  I mixed in solid card stock to keep those floral patterns from over powering the card.  I also textured the card stock pieces using various embossing folders and the Big Shot.  Below are the cards my Sunday Stampers made - to show you how great they look using various colors of card stock and ink.

Washi Tape

This was the "3D" item we made at my June stamp club meetings.  They are wooden clothes pins covered with Stampin' Up!'s new washi tape.  It is very similar to masking tape.  We just covered the clothes pins with the tape and trimmed off any excess.  Clip them to a piece of card stock, pop them into a cello bag, and finish it off with a topper made using the Top Note Die and Big Shot.  Another quick and simple project.  Makes a cute little gift.  The clips can be used to keep your snack bags closed, as a way to organize papers, or as a bookmark.  Add a magnet to the back and stick them to your fridge for holding notes and recipes.

Thank you!

This is a 3x3 card that I made to tuck in with some orders last month.  The card base is Pretty in Pink.  The bottom of the card is embossed using the Big Shot and one of the Adorning Accents Folders- item #125601/$8.95.  You get three different folders to emboss card edges.  The "thank you" is stamped with the Sale-a-bration set, "Pretty Petites" which you can get FREE with a $50 purchase by March 22.  It was punched out with the Petite Curly Label punch, another item you can get for FREE during Sale-a-bration.

Only 11 months until Christmas!

I already have a head start on my Christmas cards for 2013!  These were the cards I planned to send to my Stampin' Up! team members, but I didn't get them finished in time, so I decided to put them away until this Christmas.  This is an exact copy of a card that my upline received at Founder's Circle - a get together of Stampin' Up!'s top 100 demonstrators.  I do not know who made the card - I just took photos of my favorite cards, and did not make a note of who made the cards.

This card is so striking in real life.  EVERYONE who has been in my stamp room this month has loved it.  The little packages are made with Silver and Red Glimmer paper, from the annual catalog (p.160.)  The card front is textured using the Lacy Brocade Textured Impressions Folder, which was in the Holiday Catalog BUT is still available for purchase. The bows are made using one of the flowers from the Boho Blossoms punch (p. 185 in the annual catalog.)  The Real Red and Whisper White pieces are made using the Big Shot and the Top Note Die, which is exclusive to Stampin' Up!

Below is the same card, but with two red packages.

Hope this will inspire you to make your Christmas cards this year!

CONTACT ME if you would like to order the supplies to make this card.

Just think, if you start now, and make just 4 Christmas cards a month, you will have 44 hand-crafted cards ready to mail by December!

Make a Cake

I made this card for my friend, Dawn.  I am so proud of myself - this is the third birthday card I made this month!  I still need to work on getting them in the mail early, so they will arrive in time.  I knew that this card would be hand-delivered, so I used the new Pinwheel Sizzlits Die, which can be found in the Spring Catalog for only $4.95.  Too cute!  The stamp set I used is "Make a Cake" and the coordinating Designer Series Paper is Patio Party.  The greeting is from the Itty Bitty Banners set - cut out using the Big Shot and Bitty Banners Framelits.

Happy New Year - part 2

I saw a card similar to this when I was looking at some other stamping blogs.  This was a quick and easy card to make.  The card uses Very Vanilla as the base.  The black shape is cut using the Big Shot and Labels Collection Framelits.  The stems of the glasses are made from vellum card stock using a tag punch.  The tops of the glasses are made from glimmer paper and a small oval punch (retired.)  The bubbles are rhinestones.  The greeting is from the  Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set - a set I find myself using all the time.  It has 24 greetings - something for just about every occasion you can imagine!  And they each work perfectly with the Word Window and Modern Label punches.

Evergreen

My friend and down line, Lyn, sent me this card.  I am not sure if she intended to enter the contest.  She did not post a comment on THIS POST like the rules stated.  She did leave a comment on another post.......and she gave me the BEST peanut butter fudge for Christmas..........but again, rules are rules.  So I will have to disqualify her from this contest.

This card is beautiful.  Lyn used the stamp set, Evergreen and the Lacy Brocade Textured Impressions Folder from the 2012 Holiday catalog to make this card.  Both items are being carried over - so they will be available at least through May 31 and hopefully they will also make it into the 2013-2014 catalog.  Lyn cut the opening using the Big Shot and the Labels Collection Framelits.

And now to announce the winner of the contest.  Honestly, I could not pick a favorite card - it would like be choosing your favorite child!  They are all beautiful and there is something about each card that really caught my eye.  So I decided to use random.org to choose the winner.  And the winner is..............

Wendy

Wendy, you will have to come to one of my stamping events to claim your prize!!!!  Or at least stop by to stamp during some free time.

November Club Project 3

This was a SWAP card that I received at a Stampin' Up! demonstrator meeting last month and the inspiration for the second card we made at my club meetings this month.

I changed it a little bit by using a different stamp/coordinating framelit and a greeting from the Word Play stamp set.  This card uses the new Core'dinations Card Stock from the 2012 Holiday Catalog.  After we embossed the card stock using the Big Shot, we used Stampin' Up!'s sanding system to give it the distressed look.

November Club Project 1

This was the "3D" project we made at my club meetings in November.  It is a little gift box made with the Fancy Favor Die.  We made these using fall colors, but if you used Christmas colors, they would make a great way to package a small gift this holiday season.  They would also be great for party favors.

October Club Card #2

This is the second card we made at my October Stamp Club meetings.  In addition to using ribbon (a chance to try out those awesome Craft Scissors) I wanted to show my club members a new techniques called Double Texture Embossing.  If you look closely you will see that we used the Perfect Polka Dots Folder and the Big Shot to emboss the card front.  Then we used one of the Designer Frames Folders and the Big Shot to emboss the little frame.  There is a trick to doing this, so CONTACT ME  if you would like to learn how to do this on your projects!  Learning little tricks like this is one of the benefits of being part of my stamp club. Ask me how you can  join and earn FREE Stampin' Up! products.

October Club Card #1

This was the first card we made at our October Stamp Club meeting.  I finally purchased Stampin' Up!'s Craft Scissors (#108360 - $29.95) and wanted my club members to see how well they cut ribbon.  This card is very easy to make, but is a WOW card to receive.  The flowers are made using Daffodil Delight 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon. We also used the Big Shot and Designer Frames Folders (#123130 -$8.95) to make the little oval embossed area on the card.  You may not be able to see it, but we did some paper piercing on this card using one of the grids from the NEW Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack (#126187 - $7.95).  CONTACT ME if you would like to make this card or if you would like more information about my Stamp Clubs.

October's 3D Project

This was the 3D project we made at my October stamp club meetings.  It is a pumpkin made using Pumpkin Pie and Vellum card stock. We used the Big Shot to give the card stock texture before cutting into strips to make the pumpkin.  An electric tea light sits inside to make the pumpkin glow.  I think it would make a great favor for Thanksgiving Dinner.  This project was a hit with everyone who attended a club meeting this month.  I saw this project on Stampin' Connection - a website just for Stampin' Up! demonstrators.  CONTACT ME if you would like more information about my stamp clubs, or if you would like to learn how to make this cute little pumpkin.
