Daffodil Daydreams

Spring will be here in just a few days.  Daffodils have been blooming for a while now.  I love to see them pop up each year!  Did you know that daffodils symbolize new beginnings and rebirth?  It's the flower of second chances and new opportunities.  They are also said to be a symbol of good news.

Sooooo....I thought the cards pictured above would be the perfect ones to make at my first "in person" class in almost 2 years!!  As much as I have enjoyed posting videos, holding Zoom events, and hosting Facebook parties - I am ready to starting teaching "in person" classes in April.  These classes are suitable for all levels of stampers - including beginners.  (I promise!!!)

The good news is that you will make  ALL 8 CARDS in the photo above - for only $15.  (We usually only make 3 projects at my classes for the same price - but this is my way of saying "Thank you" for giving my in person business a second chance.  I hope you will agree that this is a great value; have you been to Hallmark lately?!!!  Plus, it will be fun to get together in person for a morning or afternoon full of stamping and fellowship!

Classes will be held at my house on:

Saturday April 9  10am
Sunday April 10     1pm

Please CLICK HERE or CONTACT ME to RSVP.  Class size is limited to 4 per session.  If you can't attend in person - I will have a "to go" option.

Hope to see you - in person - very soon!

Thanks for stopping by!

Hold on To Hope

I put several of these cards in the mail this week.  I made this card using the "Hold on to Hope" stamp set and Crosses of Hope dies from Stampin' Up!

The colors I used on this card are Highland Heather (card stock)and Mint Macaron (ink and small card stock embellishments.)  The Designer Series paper is from the 6 x 6 "Best Dressed" paper pack - in the January - June mini catalog.

Below is a side view - so you can see how it stands up.  The basic card is easy to make - and it folds up to fit into a regular Medium envelope.  This card took a little more work to die cut the cross and then glue it back into the "negative" space.

Below is a photo of the back of the card and the matching envelope. (No Naked Envelopes)  I like to write a note instead of stamping a greeting on my cards.  Wouldn't YOU rather see someone's handwriting - knowing they were "speaking "directly to you when writing the message?!

How to make this card: (all measurements are inches)

Card Base (Highland Heather) is cut at 4 1/4 x 8; score at 1 1/4, 2 1/2, 5 1/2, 6 3/4

Highland Heather strip: 1 x 5 1/2

Whisper Whiter: you will need two pieces, 2 3/4 x 4 ( 1 piece for the stamped leave/cross and 1 for the back of the card)

The Designer Series Paper strips are 1 x 4 (you will need two of them)

The large ovals are cut using the Stitched Shaped dies (white/stamped piece) and Layering Ovals Dies (Highland Heather)

The small white oval is also cut from the Stitched Shapes dies  ("Easter Blessings" is from the Itty Bitty Greeting stamp set.)

The butterfly and "greens" behind the small oval are cut using the Well Written dies.

I added some rhinestones as a finishing touch

Below are some of the products I used to make this card.  Click on any image to add that item to your shopping cart!

Happy Easter & a Sad Good-bye

He is Risen!
May this Easter Day bring you lots of joy and happiness!

Starting today I am posting cards made with some of my favorite stamp sets that are on Stampin' Up!'s retiring list.  The cards today all use the Petite Petals stamp set.  Although Stampin' Up! has a lot of flower sets - this was always one of my favorites because of the coordinating punch (which is also retiring.) Below are more made using the Petite Petals stamp set.

The card below is one of my all time favorites that I made using the Petite Petals stamp set and Flower Shop stamp set (not retiring!)

Happy Easter!

This is one of the cards we made at my March Stamp Club classes.  I CASED (Copy and Share Everything) this card from another Stampin' Up demonstrator, Brandy Cox.  I wanted to use as many Sale-a-bration stamp sets as I could to make my cards this month, since they will no longer be available after March 31.

The yellow background on the card and the chick itself are stamped with a flower from the Sale-a-Bration set, "What I Love."  What a fun technique.  The chick is from the "Honeycomb Happiness" stamp set.

CONTACT ME if you have any questions about how I made this card.

Happy Easter!

These are the Easter Bunny baskets we made with my Pre-K kids using the Berry Basket Big Die from Stampin' Up!  We used the Bow Builder Punch to make bow ties for the boys and hair bows for the girls.  Aren't they adorable?!
Below are ceramic crosses the children also made - to remind them of the true meaning of Easter.  The images and words were stamped on the cross using Stazon Ink, and then colored using permanent (Sharpie) markers.  They did a pretty good job!
Easter Blessings to you and your family!

Easter SWAPS

For the next several days I will be sharing the SWAP cards I received at a recent meeting with other Stampin' Up! demonstrators.  Today's projects are all about Easter.  The two cards above were made with the stamp set Everybunny (p.25 in the main Stampin' Up! catalog.

This treat project was made by Bili Parus.  She filled a 1x8" cellophane bag (p.161 in the main catalog) with M&Ms and topped it with an embossed label.  She used Melon Mambo, Wild Wasabi, and Tempting Turquoise embossing powders.

This is a close up of the tag.

Happy Easter!

Rejoice and be glad, for the promise of Jesus Christ has been fulfilled! Our Savior has risen from the dead.

Here is a card I made and actually sent to my mother and sisters in PA. I usually visit them during Spring Break, but wasn't able to do that this year.  This card has been in my file of favorites for a long time, but I don't know who the original designer was.
Products used to make this card:
Card stock: Certainly Celery, Perfect Plum, Whisper White
Ink: Certainly Celery, Perfect Plum
Stamp Sets: Elements of Style, Delightful Dozen, Crosses of Hope (retired)
Accessories: Framed Tulips Embossing Folder, Stampin' Dimensionals

This card was really quick and easy to make, so I also made a few extra for local friends.

Thanks for stopping by!
Wishing you a very Happy Easter!
