My Birthday Cards - part 2

Below are five more beautiful cards I received for my birthday last month.  You can see the first five on my previous blog post.  Although I received most of these cards as part of a homework assignment for my stamp club members, there were several that I received from non- members, too. 

It sure was fun to receive each one of these beautiful, hand made birthday cards  - as well as the other cards that came from a store!  It's just fun getting snail mail that's not a bill or junk.

I'm TRYING to Bring Birthdays Back!

These are two cards that I sent to friends in July in my quest to "Bring Birthdays Back."  Do you miss receiving a hand addressed envelope in the mail?  And something that's not a bill or a piece of junk?!  I know I was excited each time I found such an envelope in my mailbox for my birthday!

I have been making cards (and teaching others how to do it!) for over 8 years now, and I am probably the WORST at NOT sending them!  How silly is that?  A few weeks ago I took the challenge and joined the movement: #imbringingbirthdaysback.   CLICK HERE to learn about the movement!

Happy Birthday, USA!

 In honor of our great nation's 240th birthday, I am making a pledge to help Bring Birthdays Back!  This #imbringingbirthdaysback movement started several months ago by one of Stampin' Up!'s awesome trainers, Shannon West.  You can read about her "movement" by CLICKING HERE.

The photo below shows a small portion of the birthday cards that I have been hoarding in my craft room since I became a Stampin' Up! demonstrator 8 years ago.  These are cards we made in my classes, or SWAPS that I received at Stampin' Up! events.  Even though I teach classes on how to make these beautiful cards - I am guilty of NOT SENDING THEM!  I have fallen into the trap of sending a quick birthday message using social media.  But that is not nearly the same as opening up the mailbox and seeing an envelope with handwriting.  And oh, the excitement of opening up the envelope and seeing what's inside - especially if it is a hand crafted beauty!
