Happy New Year - part 2

I saw a card similar to this when I was looking at some other stamping blogs.  This was a quick and easy card to make.  The card uses Very Vanilla as the base.  The black shape is cut using the Big Shot and Labels Collection Framelits.  The stems of the glasses are made from vellum card stock using a tag punch.  The tops of the glasses are made from glimmer paper and a small oval punch (retired.)  The bubbles are rhinestones.  The greeting is from the  Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set - a set I find myself using all the time.  It has 24 greetings - something for just about every occasion you can imagine!  And they each work perfectly with the Word Window and Modern Label punches.

The Open Sea

This is a SWAP card that I received from another Stamping Up demonstrator.  This is a great masculine card.  It is made using all 5 stamps from The Open Sea stamp set (p.104 in the Stampin' Up! 2012-13 catalog.)  The red Baker's Twine adds a nice touch of color.

Evergreen

My friend and down line, Lyn, sent me this card.  I am not sure if she intended to enter the contest.  She did not post a comment on THIS POST like the rules stated.  She did leave a comment on another post.......and she gave me the BEST peanut butter fudge for Christmas..........but again, rules are rules.  So I will have to disqualify her from this contest.

This card is beautiful.  Lyn used the stamp set, Evergreen and the Lacy Brocade Textured Impressions Folder from the 2012 Holiday catalog to make this card.  Both items are being carried over - so they will be available at least through May 31 and hopefully they will also make it into the 2013-2014 catalog.  Lyn cut the opening using the Big Shot and the Labels Collection Framelits.

And now to announce the winner of the contest.  Honestly, I could not pick a favorite card - it would like be choosing your favorite child!  They are all beautiful and there is something about each card that really caught my eye.  So I decided to use random.org to choose the winner.  And the winner is..............

Wendy

Wendy, you will have to come to one of my stamping events to claim your prize!!!!  Or at least stop by to stamp during some free time.

Thanks to everyone that participated in the Christmas Card contest.
I will announce another contest tomorrow.  And you won't have to make a card to win this time!!!

November Club Project 2

This is a card that I received at the Stampin' Up! convention this summer.  It was made by my up line, Martha Armstrong, and everyone who sees it wants to know how it was made.  So after a team meeting last month where she explained how she made it, I gave it a try.

This was the result!  I made my card much simpler, so it would be easy to complete at a club meeting.  It was a fun technique and everyone's card turned out beautifully!  We cut a stencil using one of the labels framelets, and sponged on the color using several colors of ink.  Then we stamped the solid image using Stazon ink.

Candlelight Christmas

This was one of the "Make & Takes" that I made at a recent meeting with other Stampin' Up! demonstrators.  It uses the Candlelight Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper (#126901- $12.95) that you can find in the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog.  This DSP is so much prettier in real life!  The stamped greeting is from the "Delightful Dozen" stamp set found on p. 140 of the 2012-2013 Stampin' Up! Catalog.
