One Sheet Wonder - 5 cards and envelopes

My sister, Donna, and I held an all day, online stamping event on Saturday for World Card Making day.  We posted lots of videos and projects and asked that everyone make a card and donate it to our "Cards for the Troops" project.

This is one of my videos from Saturday - and I want to share it with you today!  In the video I show you how EASY it is to make 5 cards and 5 coordinating envelopes with one sheet of 12x12 designer paper.  In addition to a stamp set with greetings and ink, you will also need 5 card bases, 5 envelopes, and some scraps to make a few labels for your cards.  What a great way to use up some of that designer paper that you have been hoarding!

(If you are viewing this in your email or on a mobile device  - you may need to click on the title to load the video.)

This set of cards is quick and easy to make - PERFECT for a beginner stamper who may not have a lot of supplies.  More experienced stampers can jazz up the cards with embellishments and additional stamping.

As I mentioned in the video, a set of cards like this would make a great gift - especially if you put them in a KRAFT GIFT BOX or in a clear ACETATE CARD BOX.

You might also want to consider SENDING your cards to someone serving in the military.  You can read about the group we are donating cards to BY CLICKING HERE.

Below are the products I used to make the cards in the video.  The punch I used for the first card is now retired.  You can see current punches in my online store HERE.

If you have any questions, please CONTACT ME.  I would be happy to answer your questions!

Easy One Sheet Wonder - video tutorial

Do these cards look familiar?  I featured them on an earlier blog post HERE   We made these cards during my first ZOOM class.  In the stamping world we call this a "One Sheet Wonder" because you make the cards (and in this case coordinating envelopes) using one sheet of Designer Series Paper (Stampin' Up!'s word for patterned paper.)

The class was a success - and everyone's cards looked different because everyone had a different patterned paper that they used to make the cards.  I planned to record the zoom class - but in my excitement I forgot to hit the record button.  So I finally got around to recording a new video showing you how easy it is to make these cards.

In the video below (Part 1)  I show you how to cut the patterned paper and the coordinating card stock (which is used for mats, borders and die cuts.  If you are receiving this blog post in your email - you may need to click on the blog title to load the video.

In the video below (Part 2) I show you how to put the pieces on Whisper White card bases to make the 6 cards - and I include a lot of tips and offer suggestions of how to make the cards suit your needs.

These cards were all made with NO STAMPING!  Shocking, right?  Instead, I included die cut words and images to complete the cards.  I used adhesive sheets when cutting out the die cuts - which made it easy to adhere those pieces to the cards (as long as you have fingernails or a sharp pointy tool like the Take Your Pick tool!)

One set of dies is retired and all of the Designer Series Paper I used in the video is retired, but below are some of the current products I used on the cards. Click on the image for more information about the product and to add it to your shopping bag in my online store.

Poppy Parade One Sheet Wonder

Happy Memorial Day!

When I was young - I remember my mom and aunts referring to Memorial Day as Decoration Day.  I also remember people wearing poppies and selling little paper poppies as a fundraiser.  I did a little research and found out that after the Civil War, the graves of soldiers were decorated with flowers.  One reason the poppy became the symbol of Memorial Day is because poppies were the first flower to grow in the fields where the soldiers bodies were buried.  Thanks, Google!

So I thought today would be a good day to share these cards that I made with the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper.  Although the two stamp sets in the Peaceful Poppies Suite (Jan - June 2020 Mini Catalog) WILL be carrying over to the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog - the matching Designer Series Paper WILL NOT!  If you like this paper - the last day to purchase it from my online store is June 2 - or while supplies last! Watch the short video to see the paper - although Stampin' Up!'s paper is always more beautiful in real life - you'll get the idea of what it looks like!

This set of cards is made from a One Sheet Wonder pattern.  The 6 cards were made from cutting up one half sheet of the 12x12 paper.  I used the other half to decorate the flaps of the envelopes.  But you could make 12 cards from one sheet of paper if you didn't decorate the envelopes.

I will be sharing the pattern for this One Sheet Wonder in my new private Face Book group, Let's Stamp A Little.  You can join the group BY CLICKING HERE.

I will offering an online class in June where you can make a set of cards similar to these. Sign up for my monthly newsletter below if you would like to receive information about my new classes and events.  I will also be sharing exclusive projects and offering deals- so don't miss out!

I hope you will take time today to remember all those who lost their lives fighting for our country.

CLICK HERE to check out the list of LAST CHANCE (retiring) products.  Stamp sets are guaranteed available through May 22.  Everything else is WHILE SUPPLIES LAST - through June 2.

CLICK HERE to see my January through May class to go kits.  Tuesday will be the last day to order these stamp sets through me - if you also want the freebies!

Please follow my FACEBOOK PAGEPINTEREST BOARDS, and YOU TUBE channel.
