Sesame Street Friends

These are some favors I made for a workshop I will be doing next week. Anna and Amy asked me to demonstrate projects on a children’s theme……..since Amy is expecting her second child. Anna is the proud Grandmother. The Sesame Street characters are made using the Scallop Circle punch, and several other Stampin’ Up punches. I basically followed the directions HERE for making them. They take a little bit of time to make………but they are worth the effort. My favorite is Oscar the Grouch!

Wendy's Workshop- Project 2

Wendy asked if I would also demonstrate the Service & Sacrifice stamp set at her workshop. I CASED the idea for the eagle from some unknown source (my apologies to the original designer, for not saving the original blog post.) It is made using the large oval punch, and a non-SU punch for the tail feathers. I always encourage my customers to get creative with their projects and change my design in any way they choose. I wish I had taken my camera with me…….to take photos of how different everyone’s card looked. Here is a peek at the inside of my cards.

This is a fabulous stamp set for making cards to show your appreciation for military personnel and their families. Thanks for looking.

Falling Leaves

This is one of the cards we made at Wendy's workshop last night. It is made using the "Falling Leaves" stamp set. The colors are Crushed Curry, Dusty Durango, Soft Suede, Pumpkin Pie, and Garden Green. Wendy is in my Stamp Club, and the totals from her workshop are going to be added to the totals from our club meeting.........earning her more FREE stuff, including an item from the new holiday mini catalog for only $10. Here are several other cards I made for Wendy as a hostess gift, using the same stamp set and some ribbon and brads she found at Michael's.

Back to Blogging

I thought I would be able to post more often during the summer, but I kept very busy with two family vacations, a family camping trip, my retail job, and almost weekly trips to Busch Gardens, Williamsburg. I may be getting older.....but I am still able to keep up with the kids on the Griffon and Apollo's Chariot.

As a former teacher, I always considered September the beginning of a new year. So I am making a resolution (again!) to try and post Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Earlier this summer I did a workshop for Stephanie, who is planning her wedding. These are little favors I made, to give her some ideas that she could use for favors st the reception, or for little thank you gifts. If you want more information or directions for making any of these projects, just send me an email, or leave a comment. Thanks for looking!

Open House Projects and Winners

If you came to my “Get the Scoop” events last week, you could have made these cards. They are both made using the “Circle Circus” and “Teeny Tiny Wishes” stamp sets, and two of the new In Colors cardstock (Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry.) My guests also made other cards and a little favor box, which they filled with ice cream flavored hard candy. I know door prizes are supposed to be given out the day of the event………but I wasn’t quite prepared! So here is the list of door prize winners and what they won.
#1 Dawn- a package of dimensionals
#2 Nancy – a birthday balloon incentive stamp and Tempting Turquoise ink spot
#3 Dawn (again!) – popsicle cards
#4 Leighanna – a pencil case and two pencils
#5 Wendy – a card kit to make 4 cards
#6 Wendy (again!) – a card kit with 4 cards already made

Congratulations! Thanks to everyone who came! I will be having another gathering in my home this fall, as soon as my new craft room is finished!
