Retiring In Colors

These cards were made using the 2018-2020 In Colors from Stampin' Up!  That means these five colors will retire at the end of the catalog selling period at the end of May.  You should start thinking about purchasing any of these products that you LOVE - because they will be gone soon, and many of them sell out before the end of May.

We will be making the cards shown above at my stamp classes this weekend - to remind everyone to stock up now on card stock, ink, markers, blends, ribbon, etc....but especially the ink refills - for these colors.

How I made these cards:
  • Begin by using a Whisper White Thick card base
  • I used the large scallop die from the SEASONAL LAYERS dies, to cut the edge of the black card stock piece (5 1/2" x approx 3").  I embossed the black card stock on the card on the left - using the BASKET WEAVE 3D embossing folder.
  • I stamped the small flowers using TUXEDO BLACK MEMENTO INK on the card stock, then punched out using the SMALL BLOOM PUNCH (a Sale-a-Bration free item.)  For the card on the right - I punched out the flowers without stamping the image.
  • I arranged the flowers along the edge of the black card stock in a random pattern, then attached them to the card front using glue dots.
  • I added rhinestones or pearls to the center of each flower.
  • The greetings were stamped in MEMENTO ink using stamps from BUTTERFLY GALA and SO SENTIMENTAL stamp sets.

These cards would work great for almost any occasion - just stamp the greeting that suits your needs!

Bingo Note Card Set

Still more catching up with posting projects from my 2017 stamping events!  Today's cards were made at Bingo - back in June!  These are all note cards, made using the 2017-18 In Colors card stock, ink, and Designer Series Paper.  The card above is my favorite from the set.  The little Adirondack chair is made with a die from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits.  The words are from the Colorful Seasons stamp set, which coordinates with the Seasonal Layers Thinlits.  Buy both in a bundle and save 10%. The color used on this card is Berry Burst.

The colors used for these cards are Tranquil Tide and Powder Pink.  The words on the left are from the Flourishing Phrases stamp set.  The words on the right card are from the You've Got This stamp set.

The card on the left was made using the Thoughts & Prayers stamp set and the color used was Lemon Lime Twist.  The card on the right was made using the Butterfly Basics stamp set and the color used was Fresh Fig.

The final card above uses all of the 2017-18 InColors card stock. The stamp set used was Crafting Forever. The pens were colored using the In Colors Stampin' Write Markers.

Bingo is one of my most popular stamping events.  Everyone has a good time making the cards while making new friends.  Plus there are lots of prizes and surprises.  I am hosting Bingo on Super Bowl Sunday.   CLICK HERE for more information and to RSVP.

CONTACT ME if you have any questions about how to make these cards.

High Tide #5

This is the fifth (and final) card we made at my stamp classes in July.  Like the other cards, it was made using the High Tide stamp set from Stampin' Up!.  All of the cards we made in class were inspired by the many amazing cards I saw on Pinterest.  This one in particular has lots of similar versions made by several stampers.

The stamping was done on a piece of 3 3/4" x  5" Whisper White Thick card stock.  I used a clear block to stamp the rectangular sky background in Bermuda Bay ink.  After I pressed the clear block into the ink pad, I spritzed it with water .  I also stamped the waves in Bermuda Bay.  The grass is stamped using Crumb Cake ink.  The birds and words were stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.  The Adirondack chair is cut from Soft Suede card stock using a die from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits.
