For the World's Greatest

Celebrate the everyday heroes in your life with the August Paper Pumpkin Kit.  It has become clear who the everyday heroes are: teachers, doctors, nurses, hairdressers, delivery workers, cashiers, and our friends and family members who go above and beyond to enrich our lives.

Now is the perfect time to explore your creativity and create something that will show these essential people in your life just how awesome you think they are!  Paper Pumpkin kits make it easy for ANYONE to make a difference.

What's inside the August kit

  • Enough supplies to create nine cards and coordinating envelopes.
  • Card size: 4-1/4” x 5-1/2” (10.8 x 14 cm)
  • Envelope size: 4-1/2” x 5-3/4” (11.4 x 14.6 cm)
  • Coordinating Colors: Bumblebee, gold, Mint Macaron, Pacific Point, Soft Suede, white
  • The kit’s stamp set includes Distinktive stamps.
  • Distinktive stamps are photo-realistic stamps that create an impressive detailed image with a single stamp.
  •  Even though the elements of the August kit can be used to show your appreciation for anyone - it has a masculine feel which will be perfect for the men in your life.

Zoom! Birthday Bingo Bash

It's been a week since I held my Birthday Bingo Bash on Zoom! It was only my second zoom class - but other than a few sound issues - it went well and I know I had fun! Hope everyone else did, too.!  In addition to local friends, I had friends from Illinois, Texas, and Pennsylvania join in on the fun.

We made 3 birthday cards, a little treat box, and we played 5 games of Bingo.  You can see the cards we mady BY CLICKING HERE  Below is the treat box we made, using half of an acetate box, sold by Stampin' Up!  I just added some Designer Series paper, layering ovals, a diecut, and ribbon.
Here are the BINGO prizes that were chosen - I had 10 to choose from - so that the winners would (hopefully) be happy with their prizes!

The winner of the last game won a $50 gift certificate!
I am planning another BINGO for sometime in October.  Be sure to follow my blog, FB page, and/or sign up for my monthly newsletter - so you will know when I schedule events.  I will be doing ZOOM classes at least through the end of the year - so you can attend from anywhere in the USA.

Below are the hand made cards that I received for my birthday - most were made using Stampin' Up! products.

Don't forget that Bonus Days continue through July.  Spend $50 and get a $5 coupon to use in August (beginning August 4, when the new Holiday Mini Catalog goes live!)  If ordering online, please use the current hostess code: QWJ9RG26

Mini Scrapbook Class

This is an example of a mini scrapbook that you can make at my August 6 class at the Rokeby Center in Chesapeake, VA.  It is an accordian album that fits inside a DVD case.  There is room for at least 12 photos to document a special event.

I originally designed this on a travel theme - but it is easily adaptable for any occasion.  You will get all the supplies to make this scrapbook - and lots of extra bits and pieces to make changes to my my design to suit your needs.  Plus you will get coordinating card stock for making mats for your photos.  Bring your photos to class or complete your album later at home.

Below are photos showing how the pages fold out of the DVD case.

The photo below shows the album fully opened.

The photo below shows the other side of the album's pages.

I am teaching this class Chesapeake's Parks & Rec department - and you will need to register for the class through them at this ink:  https://apm.activecommunities.com/cityofchesapeake/Activity_Search/mini-scrapbook-design/25332  You can also register for the class in person at the Chesapaeake Visitor Center.

Quick and Easy Fun Fold Card - Video Tutorial

I posted these cards on my blog earlier this month.  You can see the post HERE.  The video below will show you how easy it is to make this fun fold card.

Measurements for making this card (inches):
Card base is 4 1/4 x 11 and scored at 2 3/4 & 8 1/4
Designer Series Paper: 1 5/8 x 5
Coordinating card stock: 1 7/8 x 5 1/4
White for inside of card: 4 x 5 1/4
*In the video I added a strip of patterned paper to the inside of the card.  This piece measures 1/2 x 5 1/4.  I gave the wrong measurement in the video.*

Tailored Tag punch was used to punch the label for "Happy Birthday" greeting
1/2 strip of Designer Series paper was placed behind the label  (Did you watch long enough to see how I used the Tailored Tag punch to make the flags on the ends of the paper?)

You can make TWO of these cards as a BONUS if you are one of the first 6 people to sign up for my August zoom class.  The class will use the Seaside Notions stamp set.  You can see the stamp set below.  Get information about that class BY CLICKING HERE.

SEASIDE NOTIONS CLING STAMP SET

Please EMAIL ME if you have any questions.  I hope to ZOOM with you in August!  Invite a friend or family member - from anywhere in the country -  to join the fun!
