Whale Done Shaker Card - video tutorial

Last week I posted a video showing 14 cards that I made with products from the Whale of a Time suite from the Stampin' Up! 2020-2021 annual catalog.  You can see that video BY CLICKING HERE.  In this video, I show you how to make the shaker card from that video.

Here is the card that I made in the video:

Measurements and Basic Directions for making the card:

  • Pool Party card base 5-1/2 x 8-1/2; scored at 4-1/4
  • Pool Party layer 4 x 5-1/4; punch out hole near the top of this piece using the 2-1/4 inch punch or a circle die; then emboss the piece using the Seabed 3D embossing folder
  • Adhere a 3-1/2 x 3-1/2 piece of Window Sheet to the back of the embossed piece, covering the hole
  • Attach a foam strip to the window sheet - around the circle cut out.
  • Put a small pile of sequins on the window sheet - in the center of the circle, then adhere a piece of DSP on the foam strip, making sure your paper is in the correct position, so the view is correct when looking from the other side.
  • Use more foam strips, or edge pieces from Stampin' Dimensional sheets, to raise up the entire pool party panel to the card front.
  • The shaker part is done!
  • Stamp or punch out a whale from the Designer Series paper.
  • Use the Banners Pick a Punch on one end of a 3/4 strip of Basic White card stock; stamp the greeting and cut to the correct size.  Attach the greeting and the whale to the front of the card using Dimensionals.

Below are some of the products I used to make this card.  Click on the photo for more details and to add the item to your wish list or shopping bag in my online store.
